I won't spoil the characters' stories (or what is explained/implied as of yet anyway) but the worldbuilding is fleshed out and their experiences and relationships are realistic.
There is some grammar mistakes, but no more than 1 or 2 per chapter, so that does not really impact the reading experience.
I will check out the sequel soon, keep up the good work !

I think that the fanfiction around Harry Potter is really fascinating, because the stories themselves by J.K. Rowling were good children's stories, until maybe the fourth book, when it just got deranged. In the world she created was beautiful, if you play Hogwarts Legacy, it's just absolutely magical, no pun intended. But the logic of her characters, of her stories, is just awful, and I think especially more rationally minded readers who enjoy science fiction found the plots to be absolutely atrocious.
So Harry Potter fan fiction has this interesting edge, more often than not, in which we love the world of Harry Potter, but we hate a lot of its characters, Ron Weasley. We all hate him, he's super annoying. Actually, the character Harry Potter himself is so badly written and frustrating that most fan fictions recreate Harry into someone else. Dumbledore, his convoluted, stupid plans, when you look at what he's done objectively, he's a very morally grey person, pretending to be this kind, wise old father Christmas. That's a long introduction to say that this fanfiction adds a magical assassin cyborg character to derail the plot and push it in a more, let's say, violently satisfying direction. Another comment is that many fanfictions also correctly identify Draco Malfoy as an absolutely tragic character. Someone who's beloved by his morally reprehensible father lives in his shadow and then is a casualty of history and his father's actions and his own inab
