    As of Chapter 12.
It seems rare these days to have an MC that actually makes some decisions with the knowledge that others could have less than desirable intentions. In this story, the MC actually hides his abilities so that others won't realize that he is more than a side character. Overall, it is looking quite good right now.

It’s fantastic so far (chapter 11). The main character isn’t op. But also not an inbred. Good pace to the sort as well.

Astral Tempest has written a great start to the story. I really enjoyed the first 20 or so chapters.
Sadly it doesn't look like this will be updated again for a long time. I was truly looking forward to more of this!
Hopefully, Astral Tempest is alright and one day comes back to continue this <3

Over all, well written, and the chapters are developed enough to allow for a reader to really get involved in the stories.  Characters are believable and have personalities, although Liam feels a bit blocky.
The plot is working so far and feels a bit slow, but very nicely developed, even if as the author states, it's sort of jazzy.  I'll keep following this story :)

Pretty good Lit-rpg.  Meets expectations, tossses in a few twists I haven't seen before.
Main character isn't a hero and isn't really an anti-hero either but I wouldn't classify him as villain either.  More of a hard-bitten soldier who does what he thinks it takes to survive in a world where our modern western cultural ethics don't apply.

    QUIKSILVER201's review is not accurate.
    Spoiler: Spoiler
He did steal... but considering he was dropped into a medieval world with only the clothes on his back it is understandable. The juxtaposition of "the first solution in his mind is murder" and "leading a horde of monster at a city / some kids" imply that he premeditately lead a horde of monsters to the city to murder the city. Those are in fact two unrelated things, he considered killing a group of fellow earth abductees who were stalking him (after an explicit system announcement that abductees from earth will be rewarded for killing each other by the system, which is an artificial construct managed by people; so it was likely those earthlings were hunting him down for PvP), but then decided to run away from them instead of "murdering" them (we call it self defense).
As for the unrelated claim about leading a horde of monsters to slaughter the city / some kids... he didn't intentionally pull monsters to attack the city. Rather, everyone who got dropped in the new world went to the adventurer guild per the advice of their adbuctors, MC included. Afterwards they went out hunting monsters which turned out to be a lot harder than it sounds. MC was unlucky and got chasd by a horde of monsters and ran to the city, in the belief that the high level adventurers in the city will save him and kill the monsters. While running towards the city he came across a fellow group of adults in their 20s who were in the process of being eaten by another powerful monster and pulled the two groups together so that the monsters will fight each other. It worked (the monsters never went towards the city either after fighting each other). The other group of adventurers were frozen in fear and panic and didn't bother running away, so they eventually got killed by the monsters, despite having plenty of time to escape. Had they acted then his move of pulling the two groups together would have saved their lives (since they were doomed befo

    Overview:
Most stories of this genre progress or lack of worldbuilding. However, Ancientblood takes it slow to introduce the reader through concepts in a nice, easy progressive style. Now on to the scores.
    Style:
Smooth and consistent, AstralTempest makes the style easy to follow and gives the imagery when needed. Not much more to say on this topic. There are moments of being overly vague, mostly when trying to foreshadow things as a single chapter, that ruins the style a bit, at least for me. 4/5
    Grammar:
Near perfect. Any mistakes would come under style rather than grammar. 5/5
    Story:
I liked it. The subversion to reader's expectations, especially in the earlier chapters, were really well done and as I said before, the progression is smooth and gradual. You don't grow too strong and even when you get a power up, you are shown signs of needing adjustments such as that time Liam overestimated his jumping power.
However, there's still plot holes, that are often pointed out, which forces Astral to use a chapter to explain things, which kind of undermimes the story somewhat. 3.5/5
    Character:
Tbh, I'm not a fan of the characters. Sometimes they do things that don't align with their characters. E.g. For the chaotic neutral  Liam in the beginning, he does things that seems to disregard that nature of his in in the middle of the story. Sure you can point the reason to his transformation, but I believe that shouldn't done.
I'm not saying that his change of character isn't a bad thing. It is done relatively gradually (but that's not saying much tbh). However, I just think it should have been done much slower for someone suffering from ptsd and is pretty much an emotionless egotistical psycho to begin with.
Other characters suffer from similar out-of-character moments too, but I'm not going to spoil anything.
Despite my criticisms, all of the characters are well made. None of them fall under the generic mold you tend to see and have their unique traits. 3/5

I probably sound like an incel but
    Spoiler: Spoiler
I didnt like how this guys first companion is some girl that almost steps on his face, tries to steal from him. Then later finds him again to use him and hes like okay sounds good. Also his luck is a 2 but he gets hella strong in a week of being there.
So im dropping at ch30 btw

This writes like an edgy teenager would. A war hardened marine acting like a brash kid with no plan, no forethought, and no maturity. And the attempts at romance are pretty cringy tbh. Not really a spoiler bc it happens in the first chapter but he literally ignores the god(?) explaining everything in the beginning out of spite because he thinks he's an asshole missing out on potentially crucial information. One of the biggest things taught in any branch of military is to gather intel whenever in a foreign environment. But this "marine" never does that. He literally just charges into situations without forethought.
