- Teufel.Royal Road★★★★★ 4.5First of all this book is not for the people who love hero storys where everything is done for the good of the pp and other stuff like it this is a book about a pirate that actualy is a pirate and not a dude who thinks/wants to be one but somehow keeps doing (good) deeds because the autor fears backslash bla bla ... here our mc is a pirate an actual one and even better he got some braincells (miss this in way to many books) aswell ! the Story is well done with a decent amount of realisem in the actions taken and how they where done . The worldbuilding is amazing and the Mc is not just a 2d cardbox in the character department the other people are a bit lacking like we got absolutly nothing back story wise of the other people in the story for that however the mc is done better than most others i have ever seen he is actualy Unique as far as i know and a lot of effort went into his desing the only two real complaints i got is the mismatch of he/she in some chapters its confusing it is not happening that often later chapters so the autor is improving on the front the second issue i got is a nagging one i dislike the extrem OP ness of the Blitzkrieg but at least he got a good background for it . Btw it made me laugh hard at the name used even more so because i am german ;) all in all a good book that has way to little of a following of people the best of luck to the autor
- HollexRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0In recent times pirates have been romanticized as a band of rebels in search of freedom, adventure and treasure. But in this book, the author has moved away from that romantic vision of pirates and has created authentic pirates in search of sex, riches and power through robbery and plunder.
This means that our story feels much more realistic to what we imagine the life of the typical pirate to be, but it also means that the protagonist will make some really morally questionable (albeit logical) decisions.
On the other hand, the story has not advanced much and could be considered a prologue of how the protagonist assembles his pirate fleet and prepares to go out on pirate adventures but what has been shown so far has pleased me quite a bit.
Lastly, my only complaint so far is that I find both the ship and the protagonist too OP which takes away that tension and uncertainty because of the danger that keeps you hooked on the adventures. I have also seen some flaws in the writing and would need a little revision of the text.
But overall, if you like space pirates and the sci-fi genre I recommend giving this promising read a chance. - Sheppard3rdRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0Pretty good story so far, Maybe some spoiler tabs in front of end in the author boxes for stats like ships money etc.
I wish the author luck and writing pleasure for us plebs.
Still no fan that the pirates join you but i hope he gets some more people on his own ship he can trust. - DCatRoyal Road★★★ 2.5Over-All - 2.5 out of 5 Stars, Average. Decent Story, needs work in the literary technique, a proofreading for minor errors, and a hope that the Characters continue to grow, and not stagnate in how they were established.
Story - A run-of-the-mill Sci-Fi Isekai, with the twist that our MC brings his own super ship with him. 3 Stars, above average, but brought down by how the story is told.
Style - 2 Stars, Below Average. The primary issues I see that hold this story back from being good or better would be that the fight scenes very are messy and there are too many elements introduced in a way that relies heavily on reader's suspension of disbelief and barely holds any meaning later on in the story.
For the fight scenes, I suggest drawing a basic storyboard and refining the flow of action so that once you put what's happening into writing, it will be more streamlined. For the unnecessy elements, follow Chekov's rule - each chapter is long, but a lot of its contents felt unnecessary, and they didn't have any further relevance to the story even as time flowed rapidly through the chapters - either remove them completely or make it so that each introduced element has a permanent effect to the story, not just simply introduced for the sake of exposition and then forgetting about it.
Grammar - Multiple misses here and there, but not too frequent nor constant that its disrupting the flow of readability. 2 and a half Stars, Average.
Character - Still early in the story, so not much to say regarding character development. Everybody seems to be properly established with their own personalities. 3 Stars, Above Average. - TheAngryJerkRoyal Road★★ 1.5It's got a lot of classic sci-fi red flags. Mega prologue chapter that's really unrelated to anything that starts with some random quote. A normal prologue chapter after. Random things appearing like they were there the whole time but never mentioned in the previous chapters. Unexplained happenings galore. Tons of PoV chapters. The cliche "they dropped to the ground like marionettes whose strings had been cut".
Helm emergency jump out of the sector at best speed.
