This is a good start to a new story from a really good author . I’m actually on chapter 17 since I am a patron. I am in the middle of reading one of the Authors other stories and started reading this one as soon as it dropped. The MC and the Story are different and interesting. I really don’t want to give the story away so I will just say it’s worth it. 🙃

Good action, good humor and the plot is interesting.
Even after some editing, there are still some minor spelling and grammar errors but they don't affect the story to me. (Honestly, due to how many translated novels I read, they hardly blip my radar.)
My only issue is Amber sometimes passes on or replaces abilities that I think are superior based on the description, but the authors prefer other abilities.... can't wait for the next chapter.

The chapters are so well written I often read them twice, always wanting more. Amber is such a fun character to enjoy the ride with, becoming one of my favorite main characters in any story.
The fact that she does not care for any of the politics or other players but just wants to gain strength is amazing

An excellent adventure that understands how to up the stakes.
This story has been an excellent ride throughout book 1. Amber is entertaining in some of the best ways. She has a pretty unique personality that I find reasonably easy to relate to. While she meets several companions, that I'm sure will show up several times throughout the story, she often goes it alone to accomplish her goals and push her limits. The supporting characters have all been interesting and have helped to push growth in Amber in different ways. The author doesn't make use of a lot of filler dialogue and will somewhat often tell us that characters talked at length to truncate unnecessary conversations.
My literal only complaint is that Amber never seems particularly pressed for time. This mostly comes from the last few chapters of Book 1 where she takes a ton of time climbing the Tower despite there being a perceived reason to be quick about it.
Overall an excellent read and I'm looking forward to book 2.

I'm very positively surprised of this work. I can't exactly explain, but it feels refreshing. The characters are solid (so far) and the story takes some nice turns even early on, knowing exactly what is important to focus on. I'm excited to see how it develops.
When I've read more, I will most likely change this post into an advanced review. Until then, keep up the good work!

Amber the Cursed Berserker is a great book! The action is near perfect, the power ups and break throughs already  amazing, and you just can not seem to get enough of it. However, I will note that the author has not posted in a very long time, not to mention that 800 pages is pretty small...
Because the author has not posted in such a long time, it is now only 4 stars, instead of five.

I think that she's too powerful. Nothing challenges her in meaningful way. Granted, I did stop at like chapter 25, but I think that's enough. Stories like these suffer because the MC is too good, the surrounding characters are boring, and the levels feel meaningless. Like a tycoon game, when you're hitting the quintillions and sextillions of dollar, money is essentially meaningless, and you play to see the numbers going up.
Spoiler: I don't understand how she beat a mage that was 100 levels higher than her. I understand he was weakened, but I'd like the levels to mean something.
That's how I feel about stories like this where the MC wants to become the strongest their ever was. I saw another review that mentioned it being similar to Azarinth Healer, and like that story, this one gets boring quick.
Summary: Levels are meaningless, and like most stories with OP MCs that are without a funny gimmick or something different, it falls flat on its face. However, if you liked Azarinth Healer, even 500 chapters in, this story is for you.

I want to start by saying I like this story, and recommend it as a pure power fantasy with little to nothing else. It has a cool premise and mechanics, and I always enjoy an OP protagonist. However, everything else just falls a bit flat.
Style: The ideas are solid, and 98% of the time everything makes sense. Sometimes a sentence won't be coherent, likely because of grammatical issues. My biggest issue is that the MC feels like she gets handed a bit too much pretty dang consistently. A couple of times, characters seem to 'forget' what they just said between chapters, often going ahead and doing the exact opposite of what they previously stated.
Story: My biggest gripe. Nothing feels important, and everything tends to happen too fast. The MC will be in a major battle with the strongest foe she's ever faced, and she wins and the fight is over in only a couple paragraphs or less than half a chapter. Or she'll have an epiphany on her powers from only thinking about it for like one paragraph. It feels... cheap? It's hard to get invested when the MC will literally be handed the solution to a problem within seconds of learning about the problem existing. "Pivotal" fights feel the same as a fight against an enemy 50 levels below her. The plot needs space to breath; for important things to be important, rather than just being told 'this is important' (the "show, don't tell philosophy"). A minor gripe is with the level ups; they're annoying to read because of how wordy they are. "x skill has leveled up from 3rd Rank level 5 to 3rd Rank level 6" is hard to read at a glance, causing me more often than not to just ignore it. (a simple change would be to change "3rd" to "third", or just strait up do "from level 3-5 to 3-6" or something)
Grammar: It's solid; some incorrect word choice/spelling mistakes/punctuation issues are present in most chapters, but nothing egregious or overly distracting.
Character: Most characters are very one dimensional. It's to be expected for some of the

Like much of the author's previous work, it's good, but very middle of the pack for ingenuity and creativity. If you've followed them for a quite awhile, this falls within a similar vein to their previous work.
Of course, the writing quality is pretty good, character interactions flow smoothly, progression feels natural, and a lot of the world is slowly being revealed to us as we go along.
This story is about our main character progressing of course- levels galore! There have been a couple timeskips already for the sake of grinding which is alright I guess, but the stakes are pretty nonexistent so far. Main character beats up monsters, main character emotionally struggles for a bit, main character goes to register at an adventurer's guild. If you enjoy standard character-based progression, then this is absolutely your cup of tea. But does not exactly stand out from other LitRPG contemporaries.
As a concluding note, I enjoyed what the author put out in the past but I encourage them to try new things! They're really good at writing and I look forward to see them experiment and try new stuff.

The novel strikes me as a azarinth healer copy, but without taking the time to set in a story, with intelligent characters, actual motive, and progression beyond, "I leveled up new ability"
It's every good moment in a story like Azarinth (though many other books apply, ghost hound, jackal among snakes etc) but without any build up to actually make those good moments, well good.
