Ziria has spent her entire life surrounded by death and darkness. As a necromancer, she calls the dead from their graves, weaving her blood and magic to speak with their spirits and grant the living all their answers. During a midnight ritual in the village graveyard, Ziria summons something she’s never encountered before: a shadowed figure, neither fully spirit nor entirely human. It doesn’t tell her of its own death, not breaking any rules. Instead, it spins a chilling tale of a boy whose life unraveled into blood and horror. The story feels alive, creeping into Ziria’s thoughts long after the shadow fades.

When the figure returns the second night, breaking the laws of death and magic by appearing again in front of the necromancer, Ziria realizes she has unleashed something far darker than she had intended. The shadow’s stories grow more twisted and turned, its presence more oppressive, and Ziria begins to feel the icy grip of something watching her, following her, hunting her every breath.

As the lines between the living and the dead blur, Ziria must unravel the truth behind the shadow’s haunting tales. But some secrets are meant to stay buried, deep and forgotten, and the darkness she’s called forth might not be content to let her go this time.
