Description

Welldark University, one of the many schools in the universe specialized in the training of those that know the Dimensional Truth. Those that can, to put it simply, step through the veil where it is weak and travel to other worlds, no matter how far away or no matter in which parallel universe. A freshman at Welldark, Karitas aims to enjoy his university life to the fullest. Although he certainly is looking forwards to studying topics he is passionate about, what he cares most for is the building of his Anomalia - a soulbonded unit of several people that know the Dimensional Truth. It just so happens that this world-travelling ability tends to awaken in the women of the cosmos a lot more commonly then men. Harem-building hijinks ensue. This story is written in the First-Person POV. The series is written in volumes which release in their entirety on my Patreon/SubscribeStar and come to the public one chapter per month.

Overall, Fun has done it again by creating a wonderful piece of work that I would highly recommend.
For style, It contains Fun, normal style, which is great however this time, in the form of a more complete standalone, which I mean that rather than continually going on being contained in its books, it feels more complete after each book while leaving much to expand on for the next book.
For grammar, just know for a German, he somehow has mastered the English language, though I am sure he may get some help from a 'gramma' dragon.
For the story, Holy fuck, this was a great novel world system that I hadn't seen before, which was great. While it's clear and states there is inspiration, but is quite loose, such as from RWBY for the idea of 'aura', high school DXD for the big **** I mean for the Harems, but uses a real novel system using suits of cards which is very intriguing and I wish to learn more. Then lastly, a bit of eldrichish style of forbidden knowledge but in a non-Lovecraftian way, which is great.
Lastly, for the characters, damn, I don't know how he did it, but he created another set of unique characters that I have fallen in love with, all of who have their own strong identity to them. Furthermore, having the mc have female friends who he doesn't what to fuck is very nice. Though, In fairness, I must deduct half a star here for Aclysia, given how she is a carryover not to say I don't like her; I do and am happy for her to be here, just that she isn't fully original. (just really looking for 1 negative give me a break)
So overall you should read this and I will begin counting the days until the 3 book is done after his gamer rewrite is done.

The First book of a series with a lot of books I hope.
You follow Caritas with his start at a Magic University where the majority is female because of the magic system this world has.
Harems are the norm and he is open about wanting one.
This first book focuses on the foundations, his classes, friends and his conquering or seducing of his Queen.
It is a slice of life, philosophy, seduction and a school every reader would like to visit in one book.
The Grammer is a superb result of multiple proofreaders and one round of edits.
Characters and their growth are on the level I started to expect from the author and are the main reasons why I´m reading his works.
You will not find stagnant unchanging characters in his works and the quality of his work speaks for itself.
Storywise I already spoilered the main point of this first book and I do not want to spoiler more but you should stop reading this and start reading the story and see for yourself.
It is fun no pun here and is very enjoyable to read.
Style-wise we follow Caritas in his classes and work it is told from his perspective and his thoughts.
If you know the works of this Author you already know some things like Acylsia which will be always part of his work.

I am a big fan of Funatic's work and I just recently binged this one as it slid under the radar. While it is not his main focus (as such it updates every month I believe), it holds to the same standard of quality his other works have. In fact, I would say that because it's not his main focus it has the highest quality than any of his other stories. While I am not saying that his other works lack quality he has clearly taken more time to write, edit, and then post this work than any other. It might just be me though so do not quote me on that! All in all a very well written and well fleshed out novel with characters that contain depth and purpose while still having some erotic elements of a classic harem story.
Style score: 4.5/5 - I had an issue with the way one potential antagonists was written.
Grammar score: 4.5/5 - I honestly did not pay much attention to the grammar as I was too busy devouring the story.
Story score: 5/5 - The story is a little slow at the beginning but what good novel isn't at the beginning when they're world building for the rest of the story.
Character score: 5/5 - The characters have multiple different aspects to them. It's almost as if they're real people! Shocking I know!

An openly pervert MC but not annoying nor truly depraved, I was afraid it would be a scumbag Meliodas version who was just a plain sexual assaulter but I was pleasantly surprised that the male lead was different and so soooo much better than that. Not gonna lie I haven't read much of smut out there cause I like me some fine romance and not just females throwing them at the Male lead, also the reason I tend to not read harem. And this had me invested in both the smut and the story. I am really looking forward to where this is going though the update really is a torture (might check out older works till then) Now that it's going to enter the harem aspect I have to see how the author balances it cause that's really a troubling part to maintain in a story going forward. Even if there was no smut I think this story would have easily grabbed my attention for now its more of a plus to it but I would love to see more of the story, so many things to explore. For now I shall await for more developments, but thus far it has been great.

Amazing story, amazing characters, just amazing writing in general.
This book is something I will keep coming back to, just cuz it's that good that I can never be tired of it. It's definitely different from most novels and stories I've seen, while also the mc doesn't necessarily receive a 'power boost' but it doesn't remove the element of improvement from the characters as they have noticeable changes without numbers to quantify them. An interesting change tbh.
... Gotta get more words in... Blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah...
Oh yeah funatic's got some pretty good other books as well but this is still my favourite.
    Copy and paste for words.

Love the characters, their interactions and developments, the premise of the story, the world, the little bit worldbuilding scattered around, the slowburn romance(even tho the story have harem tag, which is good, cause at least the harem building was not rushed AND believable combined with the premise). And there's also Aclysia! There's always Aclysia. Still love John's Aclysia more tho😉
Best of Fun work so far, for me.
Try it out. You will not regret it.

Overall this story is an engaging and fun read.  The story moves along quickly, maintaining a solid balance of action and character development.  I have been following this story since early in Book 1 and can't wait to see what Book 3 will bring out.  There are a ton of interesting plotlines that have been hinted at and I'm sure there will be more surprises coming
Style: The style and pacing are engaging and enjoyable.  Chapters are substantial and fun to read in large blocks.  The world-building and characters are well-conveyed by the text.
Story: This is a truly innovative story which blends some of the best elements of diverse fantasy/magical worlds into a coherent whole.  Lots of potential for new twists and the ride has been a lot of fun so far.
Grammar: I haven't found any issues with the grammar so far.  The author's style (or maybe its the character's style) can be a little stilted or verbose but that's less a grammar issue than one of personal preference.
Character: The various characters presented are well fleshed out and each has a substantially unique personality and flavor.  Lots of smaller characters have been introduced that give the story depth and texture but they do not overwhelm the story or confuse the reader.  Overall, the characters themselves are probably the best part of this story.

A little disclaimer: as of book 2, the action was definitely not the main focus, but the combat scenes presented definitely left me salivating for a proper action-filled arc, as I stamp my approval with Funatic's combat writing style.
I do not like to spoil plot points in reviews, so I would just lay out what to expect in this series.
A harem is obvious, but the varying personalities and features of the members of the harem, along with the intricate personalities and backstories of each member, circumvent the main downfall of the harem genre: generic and often unnecessary women.
The power system is very interesting and has lots of potential. I, for one, do hope the story goes beyond university life, which was portrayed well, keep in mind. The potential of the power system just makes me salivate for potential universal, maybe even multiversal-level fights. The spatial control and gravity magic of the MC is an even more attractive spice to the fights I look forward to. If you like the sound of those, then do read and support the book. I would talk about how much I like the anomalia or harem system, but I prefer to let future readers stumble upon it on their own, as the world-building in Welldark is great, without suffering the problem of info dumps.
Next, I want to point out the well-written romance in this book. It may be a bit slow-paced for some, especially the first book, but I deem the slow burn a masterclass of cooking that eventually elevates the inevitable 18+ scenes in the book. What makes the romance so great? Personally, I'd say the realism and the intricate handling of how a relationship bubbling between two different archetypes would go. I definitely would classify the book under a power couple genre, if not a power harem genre, if that even exists.
I could babble a lot more about how much enjoyment I derived from this work, especially since I came into it not expecting anything at all aside from another average horny academy adventure, but I was pleasant

A very nice reading, i couldn't wait and went on patreon to finish the book and it was worth it. Hope there will be a continuation since the smut is not that present, it's more about character developpement and world building. And sexy despriptions evidently :)
Give it a try, you won't regret it.

Great book and with action likely coming in book 2 I can only see this book going from a 8/10 to a 9/10 and with small changes to some descriptions, it could get infinitely close to 10. The plot progression though slow at times seems to steadily be building in a direction an action/adventure/fantasy reader like myself can only be thankful for. Can't wait for book 2, great job to the author
