Oh my goodness I’m so excited for this new book. The story so far has been amazing! The MC is a gritty, by any means possible, character who still has morals and goes through crisis after crisis with a shrug and a scream in the face of the universe. The skill system is very interesting and I can’t wait to see some of the combination that can be made. I love the concepts of magic and the pieces of portal style that have been added to this point. My only fear is that advanced civilizations were introduced too fast and it could skew the power scaling in the long term.I love bloodline and patron god systems so it was a huge positive of me from the start. I’m very excited to see how bloodlines end up affective everything and how the bestowal of the unique skills will effect the power dynamic in this universe. The only other criticism I will offer is that this book is so good that I’m stuck waiting on the next chapter with heart shaped eyes.To the author, this bad reviews are a sad reality for people putting others down to feel good about themselves. Let it wash over you. I love the book!-Benji

Interesting premise, Interesting skill really like the concept, great writing so far, really doing a great job of building tension and making characters that you like to dislike would fully recommend to anyone who likes books in a similar vein, the only downside is that there's not more of it yet.

This story is honestly great, it has a good setting, the plot is really interesting and enjoyble, and the mc has an actual personality with flaws, every character here has its unique personality that really shows depth. The villains for now are great(and im hoping he gets a character development)Definitely highly recommended.

Very good story.  Well writen with no typos! MC is an engaging character, easy to like.  The system is not yet fully explained but is emerging as part of the plot.  The only thing I dont like is that there are modern guns in what otherwise appears to be a medieval world which i find disconcerting.

If you like smart determined orphan MCs in unforgiving situations who strive and thrive... This is probably for you. The 13 year old MC is unrealistically resilient, tough, and savvy, but it's a fun ride with a pretty interesting RPG system focused on skills and tiers more than levels (so far).

The story immediately sucks you in! While it plays into a few tropes, it does soak in an amazingly fresh way. You really feel for the MC, And the author does an amazing job writing the antagonist so that you truly despise them. I wish it posted more than once a week, but the quality makes up for it! Definitely give it a read and try out.

I'm loving this story so far! I couldn't help wanting to know what is next, so jumped to Patreon to keep reading. It is a great narrative arc of overcoming adversity, heroes journey,  and a MC that balances shrewd calculation with a generally good moral compass.
The quality of writing and character development is very high and of put it easily in the top 10% of stories on Royal Road.
I particularly appreciate that the antagonists have complex motivations we learn of and aren't just cackling evil. There are a lot of morally gray situations where we can understand the complex logic.
I enjoy the premise and constraints of the main character as unclassed which provides some constraints on the main character being OP. I prefer stories with struggle and tension- and this one has delivered so far!
My minor critique: The MCs accomplishments are a little inflated in relation to his peers based on numbers (ie -super minor spoiler - why is he even close in mining capability at a level less than 10 compared to someone at level 40). My hope is that our main character doesn't progress so quickly that the narrative tension isnt maintained.
Overall, this story is off to a great start! Highly recommend!

The first few chapters felt like having my head sandwiched between two defibrillator pads. It was awesome.Straight off the bat, the action starts rising. The disposition is woven smoothly into the rapid advancing plot. The MC is an orphan who spent years furtively hoarding money, all for the purpose of offering to the gods for a good class bestowal. So it was immediately apparent that something was going to go wrong at the last second. The author did a great job of utilizing that tension. The character development is interesting. MC's gumption is off the charts, without a glaring flaw that I can discern, unless you count risking his life to secure bag. A lot of the plot is externally driven with his character arc being somewhat flat so far. But I still find myself invested in his problem solving processes and growth. (When I say flat arc, I do NOT mean he is a flat character. The personality is properly distinguished.)There was one kinda cheesy part where MC used an old journal to puzzle out an access code to an abandoned research facility. But it wasn't too egregious as I DID sign up to read about one of fate's hypercompetent gigolos by choosing a prog fantasy. It's still pretty early in the story, but this has been an immensely strong start and I'm itching to read more.

This story is a surprisingly engaging blend of strong atmosphere, steady pacing, and character-driven tension. From the very first chapter, it’s clear that the author has a good sense of tone and knows how to pull the reader into the world without relying on excessive exposition. The writing flows smoothly, balancing description and action in a way that makes every scene feel alive and purposeful. What stands out the most is how naturally the characters reveal themselves through their choices, small gestures, and the emotional weight behind their dialogue. The worldbuilding is introduced with care: enough hints to spark curiosity, but never so much that it slows the momentum. There’s an underlying sense of mystery in the background that gives the narrative an extra layer of depth, making you want to read “just one more chapter” to see where it all leads. Even the quieter moments feel intentional, adding texture to a setting that feels lived-in and believable.Overall, this is the kind of story that rewards patient readers who enjoy gradual tension, understated emotional beats, and a plot that unfolds with purpose. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a consistent, well-crafted read with plenty of potential to become something truly memorable.
