Setting is the usual, a mix of games and anime. Don't expect this to be grimdark. Pokemon won't die in normal battles, but they absolutely can if circumstances permit. Think Lvl.100 Tyranitar against Lvl.10 Ledyba. Or someone'sreallytrying to kill you. Whichever.
