Description

Johan poured years of effort to become a strong Hunter, sacrificing his youth and even university—only to end up working in a Hunter Mart, unawakened. Until a freak accident awakens his class. Tower Farmer. Not a combat role. Not a legend-in-the-making. Just irony. A class meant for cultivating rare ingredients, accelerating growth, brewing potions, and domesticating magical beasts. A support role overlooked by the powerful—until Johan’s harvests and concoctions become impossible to replace. Now, Mage Towers want to sign him. Clans line up to recruit him. Cults would kill to claim him. With grit, powerful connections, and a loyal three-headed dog (plus a growing menagerie of fluffy companions), Johan will prove that changing the world doesn’t always require a sword—sometimes it starts with a field, a formula, and the right kind of patience. What to Expect: A competent but sympathetic protagonist. A grounded look at the Hunter world through the eyes of a support role. Schemes, hidden plots, potion making, taming, and a lot of farming. A steadily unfolding cast where every connection matters. Exploration of how—and why—the new world came to be. ... Updates Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday 9:00 P.M. IST

Its nothing groundbreaking but that doesnt mean its not a nice read, kid gets cool unknown class has to figure out how it works makes pals along the way etc really not too much to say atm as its only 23 chapters in, although theres no combat so far which is fine but if thats going to continue to be the case it should probably get the slice of life tag added.
Lots of potential with the story though and looking forward to more

I love the novels or manga (or any media really) that are based on farming, so my review may be biased. But that's because I grew up in a farming family. Anyway moving on.
I love the style, OVERLOADED has once again delivered, like his other story Regressed Master.
The story seems follows a nice pacing, it starts lighthearted and somewhat wish fulfillment but grows to be serious soon enough.
Also, the story is very similar to the Manhwa/Korean Novel Farming In The Tower, but that is the case for most of the stories about farming in a tower as a concept however the difference from that novel is that this mc did not choose to just jump in a rift that was not supposed to be there, but actually really helped people that were in need.
His actions also made a difference. He is an orphan as opposed to the MC of Farming in The Tower, but he clearly has people that still care about him from his childhood.
I do hope that he'll contact his S-ranked friend soon, thogh from the way situation is developing, he ight not have a choice.
The grammar is very good and I have yet to spot any errors.
The Characters are diverse, but somewhat follow the cliche at the start.
A Prodigy Childhood Friend, An Unreliable Boss, A Bully that follows his role to a T and, A Protagonist full of Gumption playing Catchup.
They might seem 1-dimensional but that is only at the start, but they do get their own development soon.

This is a fun potion crafting book with a bit of action from other characters that has some pretty neat world building. I liked it enough to subscribe to the patreon and at that point I figured I had to at the very least write a review. It seemed only right.

This is pretty dang good, not sure about the other reviews, especially since I swear I have seen almost exact copies of one of the 2.5 star ones in several places, but not from that reviewer
    the grammar is good
the story is quite similar to farming in the tower, in that most of the stories about farming in a tower are similar, however it also is different in that he did not choose to just jump in a rift that was not supposed to be there, but actually helped people. He does not have much family, as he is an orphan, but he clearly (to us at least) has people that still care about him from his childhood.
I am not completely certain why farmer’s basic potions are better than people who have been studying the field’s for 5+ years, unless it is the freshness and actual quality of the crops. I am guessing that the floor of the farm is pretty high up in the tower, and has been waiting for someone reliable to help. I hope that the farm is able to survive, but not supply the entire tower(s?) with food as that would make it close to a rip off of farming in the tower.

I'm really enjoying this story. Wasn't sure about farmer but it is more involved than that.  Ended up binge reading it.   It caught my interest early and enough subtle cliff hangers that keep you wanting to read the next chapter.   I like the characters so far. Can't wait to learn more.

Interesting concept but feels rushed and the characters and interaction could be improved.
it feels like the mc should have had to struggle to grow things a bit more, him getting the fruit for potions seemed to fast also. Would have been better to just have him selling the ordinary magical vegetables he is growing and making profits off them, until he can afford to buy the magic pears and stuff to grow his own.

I like the concept of a farmer gaining private access to a mysterious tower and turning it into his personal property. But I think the author made a poor choice in making the protag an idiot. I could see the lure of this set-up as comedy, and the writers milks it at every opportunity during MC's encounters with authority figures. But honestly, the shtick gets old, real fast. Hence, I believe this is an inherent flaw that prevents the work from reaching five stars for this reason.

Straight up starts as a Solo Leveling reskin (but with carrots instead of undead), complete with the MC having a two-sylable name that starts with a J. MC also gets a unique class after an incident in a rift.
I'm going to keep reading for now, but this story is pretty mid so far, just interesting enough for me to keep going for a few more chapters to see where it goes.

This is going to be short. There is a massive amount of head hopping without any real buildup. The author keeps dropping full, important scenes on characters who feel like semi-randos, and the story never slows down long enough to build stakes.
As a reader who came here for tower farming, you end up thinking things like, “I wonder if he is growing tomatoes,” or “If he grows regular fruit, can you eat it and get a buff.” You start wondering how big his plot is, because it looked small at first. The pacing turns into burning flames, whole head hop, speed reading through scenes while waiting for the story to hop back to the main character. It feels like that picture of the little girl smiling in front of a burning house. Everything important is happening somewhere else, and you are just watching the chaos. And not in a good way but in meh ok? And who is this.
I still ended up giving this four stars, but not for a good reason. It is mostly because I really love farming litrpg, and I am hoping the story turns a corner later. I want it to focus up and use the head hopping in a way that actually builds stakes and character. Right now it feels pulled back from any real connection point. The scenes float around looking for a center, which makes it hard to invest more deeply. I am hoping for the best for the author, and this is just my take on things. The early part hints at a huge backstory that hasn't really got a new crumb and I'm on chapter 10.
This was going to be a 3. But it's the first book so I gave an extra star.
update = after chapter 13 it opens up. You start to get a bit more character which is good.  Will I keep this in my follow yes. I added a star on character and it went from 2 to 3.
This almost feels like two Korean books mash together that I know.  With spicy moments here and there. But really gets better after it stops hopping POV as much and focusing.

The premise is interesting, the potential is there. It’s a nice variation of a classic genre.
but it doesn’t quite live up to its potential. For one, it feels aimless. No overarching plot direction, character goal or purpose.
sure there are mini-arcs, each lasting maybe 3 chapters. But it still feels aimless and a bit boring. The main character himself doesn’t really seem to have any goals or plans, just kinda winging it day to day.
