Samuel Bragg was a fairly ordinary human. He lived in a simple home, and he did simple work. Born in a fishing village on the coast, he experienced a good life. But he wanted more. So when his chance came, he leapt for it, not knowing just how much more he was about to get. With a fallen god calling to him in his dreams, and the hint of an unnatural, dark plot forming in the distance, he soon learns that the extraordinary comes with a steep cost.
The story of the legendary traveler, the all-knowing servant of the God of Knowledge, the greatest author, cartographer, and collector of magicks; the story of Samuel Bragg, is a truly extraordinary tale. But it all starts with a normal man, in a normal home, in a normal village, with a normal job.

- jasonofwolvesRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I've been here before the repost of this series, as it used to be the three separate books. I really enjoyed reading about Samuel's journey, and seeing him grow from a simple cartographer into an incredible wizard was a lot of fun! His interactions with other characters like Shigeru were lots of fun, and the fight scenes are entertaining. You can tell that the author has put a lot of time into building up the background of the world. If you like to see a character progress in power, I think you would enjoy this. From village, to academy, to traveling the world. He learns from a lot of different characters, from friends, to professors, to and ancient being living far away from most people. You are left excited to read what happens next. You won't go wrong giving this story a shot, because it is a lot of fun! I first read them years ago at this point, but have re-read them before and I probably will come back to re-read them again in the future. I am happy I stumbled across them and was able to read them each time a chapter released. Now I wait to binge it over the course of a day when I want to read it again, which I will probably do once its finished releasing.
