The MC will become quite OP, so if you don't like that, this isn't the story for you.

- aAakritRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0We've seen plenty of monster reincarnation stories, but this one I think breaks the grain.
What we have here is a human from the same world as the monsters reincarnating, so it's not theoretically an isekai. This also means that the MC has the knowledge and means to basically speedrun his evolution as he is already familiar with the inner working of the world.
This gives us an super fast paced monster progression and evolution fantasy that will scratch that itch. - TheEnigmaScribeRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I'd say that this is a pretty decent story. Plot's good, and it's surprising when you realize just how fast everything is happening in this world. From the development of the village, the chaos in the nearby city, and well... I'm certainly interested in the lore, at about the lightning area. Im certainly interested in sticking around and seeing if there's something besides the continual growth of the village and empire that this story is aiming for. Anyways, I'm waiting in anticipation for the start of book three, so, yeah. Good read.
- Gameknight2169Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0It's pretty good. No grammar mistakes, writing style is great and descriptive, characters are good. I've been reading webnovels for a while now, and I can confidently say that this is definitely one of the better ones.
But that's sort of where it ends. There's not too much that's unique about it, no extra flair that keeps me around. Don't get me wrong, if you're just browsing for some book to read, definitely read this one. But if you're looking for gold, this ain't it. It's great, but not *special*.
TL;DR: Solid 8/10, great read, great writing, great characters, but not really a work I'd adamantly recommend. - Goten32Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0I love so many aspects about this, it has reincarnation and a a living world, evolution and kingdom building, through the interludes we get to see the normal reaction to large events. All the characters are fun to watch and the MC definitely has potential for growth. It's a blend of all the best cliches it a funny and entertaining way.
- Ik1tCl@wRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Extremely charming, with lovable characters and a well made story, the fights are well done, and I am always a sucker for awesome magic and a good system. If you read this DreamTickler, keep up the good work. I love the book, and my only complaint is that I wish I had more to read, really makes me wish I could spare money for the patreon. If it gets an Audio book deal, narrators should have to pay to narrate this book. Really hope the author comes back from hiatus soon.
- KhajarRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0It's a very nice story so far.
The plot might be a little generic and overused, but it's very well writen. The MC has a consistent personality, with a reasonable thought process and good decision making.
I'm loving the attention being given to the side characters and how diverse they are.
It's a promising novel and I look forward to reading more of it.
Highly recommend! - MoonlitShadeRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Apocalypse: Reborn As A Monster is nothing new, so far. The title itself is probably enough to give that away. Some may see this as a bad thing, but I don't think every story has to tread new ground to be enjoyable. And enjoyable it is.
So far, the story seems to be going the kingdom building route with multiple monsters instead of a single type. So if you like litRPGs with some cultivation elements and a monster-flavored city-builder as the side plot, this is the story for you.
Grammar-wise, there are very few mistakes and the ones that are there don't break the flow of reading at all.
Style-wise, the author strikes a perfect balance of explaining things evocatively without drawing fights out for multiple chapters.
Story-wise, there doesn't seem to be a major overarching plot or any major goals besides "get stronger" so far. This may change in the future, but it's not a bad thing. Sandbox stories are good fun in my opinion.
Lastly, character-wise, there's not a whole lot of depth just yet. The main character, despite being reborn as a monster, is very clearly still his old human personality, that of a power-hungry noble hellbent on domination. There's some foreshadowing of moral dilemmas on the horizon, so let's see where it goes. As for the side characters, none of them are interesting at all yet, though I personally have a lot of high hopes for Nox
All-in-all, I've greatly enjoyed the first thirty chapters and can't wait to read more. - OracleofGloryRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I thoroughly enjoy this story. I will mention the things i dislike before covering the things i like.
Firstly, a personal pet peeve of mine in some stories is the lack of realistic time to action ratio. The MC gets reincarnated into the past, armed with knowledge that no one else has and he moves to capitalize on that advantage, which is entirely reasonable and expected. However, the amount of events that occur within the first week are simply too large, even taking into consideration that the MC forgoes sleep at certain times. For brevity’s sake i won’t expound more on that, especially since it seems like the desparate FOMO pacing will start slowing down at this point in the story and this demerit wasn’t enough for me to drop the story or lower my rating, despite it being a personal pet peeve.
Lastly, the main character’s personality does a quick 180 at the start of the story.
Before he gets reincarnated, in his first life he is betrayed because he is engaging in treason and seems to have all the signs of a cruel young master archetype.
And then in his next life, he abruptly turns into a stern, yet fair and compassionate leader. Once again, i refrained from lowering my rating because the MC’s internal monologue touches on his own surprise at this change a couple times and we don’t truly get to know a lot of the MC’s personality before he gets reincarnated.
Onto the things i like. The biggest thing i like is the leadership aspect. If you are tired of seeing poor leadership being portrayed as good leadership, then you will like this story. I could write an essay on this subject, so i will leave it at that.
The characters. Practically all of the characters feel real and living. Which is one of the biggest points that make or break a story. Some characters i don’t like, but i can tell that is due to the author’s intention, and gives their personalities room to grow.
This story is definitely worth a read, the author weaves all aspects of writing to create a compelling s - TurtlebroRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Been a long time since I started reading something then had to straight binge all the chapters that were available. This is such a fun premise and a wonderful story I can't wait to read more of it. I highly recommend anyone that enjoy reincarnation style stories that have a badass MC to read this
- SkollseyeRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I kind of agree with everyone else here. It's good but in a not particularly original way. Strangely, the author comes across as pretty competent though. It's well written, fast paced, easy to read, and has interesting enough plot/characters to keep things rolling.
It's the garlic bread of royalroad. Not much nutritional value, but you gotta love it for being what you wanted. I can forgive a few odd logic and narrative issues when it tastes this good.
