The Rewrite islive! And almost completely caught up too!

Dragons, Catgirls, Guns, and Magic. Oh, and the ability to stop time. What more could a modern gal want?

Well... If my past would stay locked in a dark corner back on Earth, that'd be nice.

Right. There was that one other thing. The world is coming to an end. But that seems to happen every Tuesday these days.

...*LitRPG-Isekai start with a return to Earth to stop the System apocalypse goal....

Updates Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

Still a first draft, but with a bunch of edits from you guys thrown in. The rewrite is over at the link above. Thanks for the feedback that made it possible.

Others've already gone on about this story's virtues, but I'll note that those who left a negative review over the main character's reaction to a particular character apparently did so before getting to the parts of the story that not only explains her reaction but has her realizing how irrational she was being.
In other words, the main character has deep-seated issues and her overcoming that is a major part of the story. Even as early as chapter 4, it was clear that her reaction to that man was influenced by her past experiences and the author's been making edits to try to make their intent more clear.
This is a big part of why I find this story more compelling than many on this site. All of the characters have their pasts and reasons for acting as they do, and I look forward to seeing those get revealed more.

Great read, first chapter is a bit hard to read because of strange point of view but it improves about halfway through the first chapter and becomes a very good story.  Highly recommended

Characters having foundational memories formed from a past perspective grants a depth to characters that may just be unique (I haven't seen it before, I don't claim to have read more than 1.5k-2k books which is a mere fraction of all )

This is easily MY favourite series on this website, and that's not an exaggeration. Everything is done so perfectly. The main character is written really well and I enjoy the perspective given. The unique system and its complexity is great plus for me. And  the world building is just too good. Everything about this is unique and refreshing while including all my favourite genres; sci fi, magic, litrpg, fantasy. And it's all been perfectly blended together. I can't wait for more chapters.
the ONLY thing I have a problem with is the title "to play with magic", it's not bad but it doesn't feel like a title that properly represents the story, it feels more like a temporary one until a better one comes along. Unfortunately I can't think of a better one either. Maybe leave it simply as "pandora"

Love it! Alexis is a well-written character that has a traumatic background. I really want to know what this facet is!!!

I have read many stories on RR and few grabbed me as quickly as this one. I feel that if one is looking for a light fluff story they should be aware this is too good for that. This story and author deserve a certain amount of dedication since that is what they give to us, the readers.

This story has decent writing, brilliant ideas and great ambitions, unfortunately it makes any flaws stand out more starkly in contrast. As this review is for the author I'll be mainly focused on the areas I believe should be focus of improvement.
First, the pacing needs a lot of tuning once the story is finished. As of now the story jumps between sedate crawls, fast paced action and lore dumps. Overall, it makes the story feel very flighty and unfocused. I believe small rearrangements to the chain of events/scenes could alleviate that.
Secondly, there's barely any real interaction with character's outside the 'party' (Raz being a notable exception and Wyonna counting as a member). And even between the members it's kept quite superficial and short most of the time. I can tell it's not a strong suite of the author and it fits the mc's personality but it can be incredibly grating at times. It sadly also enforces the perception of the companions being used as plot or progression devices for the mc. I can tell there are attempts to alleviate this but they haven't been followed through so far. My suggestion would be to earnestly explore these smaller moments. Characterization doesn't need to be sappy 'heart to heart' talks, often more mundane interaction helps to shape a picture. To my understanding you are also trying to advance with every member of the main cast at roughly the same pace when you don't have to. It is easier for the reader to follow and more memorable to go in bigger 'chunks'. A successful one, to my sensibility, would be Josh's and Alexis' spat. For me that was genuine and I'm a bit sad it ended with 'the system did it' instead of a more comprehensive character developement.
Lastly, the mc. With how the story focuses exclusively on Alexis making her relatable or at least enjoyable to read would seem paramount. Unfortunately, for me, the opposite happens just as much. Her pov is incredibly distracted and juvenile most of the time or occupied with her pet

To be honest, I almost didn't read this story. The title is kinda... Lackluster, despite making more sense when you start reading. And the small intro with Alexis and San didn't exactly turn me on to the story either, it felt a bit too fourth wall breaking.
But damn, am I glad I ignored my misgivings. This story turned out to be amazing and fun, with a System that doesn't bog you down in numbers, so you can enjoy the applications of it more fully.
And then it follows up with having some fairly interesting characters, although they are a bit unexplored, you don't know much about any that isn't the MC.
Grammar wise, it also turns out pretty good, I think I saw some minor stuff, but nothing that left an impression, if so.

Emotionally driven, brainless children in adult bodies don't make for sympathetic characters.
Basically everyone here is an incredibly damaged individual, and not for good reasons. And the rational, not shortsighted people ( also known as adults) are treated like villains.
The protagonist mother is a borderline hippie that lives like a slobbering child, contantly leaving a mess in the house after playing at making paper mache masks like a child, not being responsible enough to BUY FOOD (let alone pay bills). And straight up steals the money the protagonist saved for six months to either lose them at the casino or give them to "charity".
The protagonist doesnt even get angry, so used and eroded by that waste of human flesh that considers that level of idiocy "ok". Not that much better herself, being beyond superficial and shortsighted in turn. The list of emotion driven bad ideas she has in the first chapters is staggering.
And her "friend"? Besides being incredibly insecure and obviously putting up a front, he is supposedly a survival expert. And finding himself in a survival situation, full of unknowns and very real danger? His first instinct is to white-knight for the emotionally stunted woman-child that feels slightly off-put by the ONE rational person that wants to take stock of their resources and options. To, you know, NOT DIE.  And as a prediction, it will turn out he is super gay and he is putting up all kinds of fronts, because he didn't just get transported thought space, but time as well. He comes from the 1920, and not the real world where 99,9% of people dont care at ALL. Not that I would know for sure, because I am dropping this.
When your main cast is made by pathetic people in serious need of therapy, and the better characters have to Cather to their stupid quirks instead of the other way around, with the main characters GROWING UP QUICKLY... you don't have a winning formula.
If readers want the protagonist to die as red shirts, something went wrong.
