Another Isekai by ORAR! I particularly like that this is an Isekai where someone is transferred from one fantasy world to another fantasy world. It's shaping up to be a great read so far. Of particular note is the vibe the main character gives off. So far, I've gotten a 'let's-do-evil-in-a-proper-classy-way' vibe and I'm loving it.
ORAR never fails to capture my interest with their worlds and this is no exception.
Overall, I can't wait to see how this progresses.

The story in "The New Dark Lord" is a refreshing take on the isekai genre, with a protagonist from a fantasy world summoned to another fantasy world. The New Dark Lord follows a man named Silenos, who hails as a House Elder for "House Shaiagrazni," an invitational institution of magic that has gained fame from its longevity and supreme ability to attract the most talented magic users in the world. So, from the get-go, we seemingly got a broken MC, which is always a very interesting premise to explore. We are also introduced to his apprentice, Adonis, who has earned himself the record for going to longest without being cast away or quitting under Silenos's guidance.
With that premise, we quickly watch as Silenos spawns an entity to acquire what is the equivalent of like... a forbidden jutsu from Naruto lol. A deal with the devil, one might say, Silenos demands a greatly enhancing quality that has been restricted from him since birth. I'll let y'all learn what that is cuz it pretty quickly establishes the kind of character Silenos is, but things don't exactly go as planned, and a truck suddenly crashes through ... and Silenos is thrown into a new world.
Style (5/5): The imagery is AMAZING. Me gusta. It's so obvious just how much time the author has put into carefully depicting each and every scene. I know some people don't like that kind of in-depth description (I do), but I feel like the author actually balances out dialogue vs description very well.
Story (4.5/5): Only thing holding the story back from a 5/5 is that it's still so early into everything. The set up has been fantastic, and there's also been a lot of seeds planted between two distinct characters... and I bet their dynamic will be very crucial to the story moving forward.
Grammar (5/5): Reads incredibly easily. Hardly any mistakes. The rare few I found, I suggested. But yeah, 5/5 here
Character (5/5): Maybe the most enticing part of this novel so far are the characters. First off, they all got such sick names. Silenos, Ensharia, Adonis... esp Silenos and Adonis. I mighttttt be biased towards 'em cuz I am a sucker for greek mythology and also went to g

Style: The style is very good. The author has a unique way of writing and great word choice. They also use the literary device of imagery incredibly all. All this results in them getting a very good tone for their story. And the tone sets the incredible air of mystery the story has. In short, it is great.
Story: The story is very good too. It is paced at exactly the rate it needs to be. It also develops at the correct rate too. The story itself is an Isekai but what makes it interesting to me is that it's an Isekai where someone from a fantasy world is taken to a different fantasy world. That is a pretty good twist on the genre, and I like how it's executed.
Grammar: The story's grammar is really good. There might be some errors that were noticed, but the author likely corrected them by now. So, I have no complaints here.
Character: The characters are very good. They, main and side, are well-depicted, realistic, and three-dimensional. There are two characters in particular that I like a lot. The main character is one of them. He is a shady, evil figure who was summoned to save this other world. And if the title of this story is to accurate, summoning him was a very bad idea. The other character I really like is a paladin girl. She is clearly anti-undead and the MC is a necromancer. So, she struggles with having to rely on this necromancer to save lives.
Overall, I highly recommend this story.
