This fantastic story has fantasy elements, the turtle is a magical one, and she can and will level up. It's almost too great. If I'm being honest, I'd have read a story with NO Litrpg elements about a perfectly normal turtle.
As it is? I'm hooked. Can't wait to read more!

Style: Having read some of Melas' other works (some of Salvos, OMG, and Trace) I think this one feels the most clearly thought out in terms of a specific writing style. It has a lot of a, as another reviewer put it, documentary style feeling to it. As usual with fight scenes, they're clear, and don't feel like they drag out too long, something that happens a LOT in LitRPG type stories. I've enjoyed it a lot so far, and think it has a unique and interesting feel to read!
Story: It's about a Turtle that gets super powers. It's adorable, and has dark moments, too. But just as importantly, it's super early. Either way, the premise is really cool. So good marks early on.
Garmmar: I didn't really notice any stand out/distracting mistakes.
Character score: Thera is thoughtful and likable. There are some interesting side characters including a surprisingly prominant starfish that doesn't have a name. There's a fair amount of thought put into the characters we've seen so far, and given that it takes place in an ocean I'd guess the cast will look like a Simpsons board game box eventually. Again, it's early, but Thera is easy to latch onto, and the others we've met so far feel like more than set pieces!

Really nice little Turtle story with great world building and big words.
Really into her perspective and the Sidecharakter gives a good respite from the main characters perspective.
The adjective and such get swapped a lot which is appreciated because descriptions don't get repetitive that way. #BigWords
    And she is soooooooooo cute.
I don't know what else to say just filling the rest if the space with bubing at the moment.
Maybe a lot mor babbling because i can't be held responsible for more commentary which aren't quite likely spoilers.
And for f's sake how many more words do i have to conjure to post this thingy.
Apparently still a lot of wordy words.
And more words... This is getting ridiculous.
Really really really really really really ridiculous. But i like the story a lit i will deal with this.
Thus is like going on for ages now. Probably have been typing for more then five minutes. And still not at the two hundred word mark?

Notice: I have read the chapters on patreon so I know a bit more than what is available here.
Like most other works from MelasD the way this is written is different from his other works. For example this being in third person omniscient.
I feel refreshed to know that MelasD tries new things and doesn't just make a copy from his previous works.
I am loving Thera's story, it's quite light in the LitRPG aspect only showing the bare basics of them. Which is level and skills and that's it, and I love that.
I am loving Thera, both the story and the character. I laughed a lot of times because of the information that is given to us because this is written in third person omniscient.
There are some dark moments in it, but if you ever saw a documentary about turtles this shouldn't be anything new for you. But suffice to say that nature is brutal.
I can’t say much about grammar since that isn’t my forte, but if there are any mistakes they are minor ones. They won’t make you want to drop the story for example.
However even with those times Thera is an amazing read.

Love it, really sad about Mors, but it does make sense with the time theme and all. Now I'm just qurious if Tera will meet the elf before she dies. Can't wait to see where you take it. I'm mostly still typing because apparently you need 50 words to type a review which is really dumb

Anyone else sad that Azarinth Healer is wrapping up right now? I know it's torn into my soul.
From Thera, I see another version of it. Of a curious turtle ready to adventure. To grind. To kill. I'm so EXCITED for the later chapters of Thera's therapeutic journey.
This is what we need people! Single-minded grinding until Legendary status is reached! And this book looks to be going in that direction.
    Go Thera!

5/5 story hands down best on the website. Absolutely fair and unbiased rating I assure you even though sea turtles are my favorite animal >.>
But for real, lot of potential and was an enjoyable read that I caught up with all too quickly and I greatly look forward to what the future holds.

This is the story of a Mystic Turtle, Thera, growing up in the ocean.
It is a LitRPG with levels and skills.
The writing is excellent, especially the character development. It is well written with good use of grammar and no spelling mistakes.
It's been a joy to read! I can't wait to see what happens next.

When you think of "Monster Evolution" and "Royalroad", the name that probably comes to mind is MelasD. If it's not, then you should get your head out of the sand and go read Salvos.
Speaking of getting one's head out of the sand, that is just about what our hero Thera does as she is born into a world of pain and struggle. With the power of a system on her side, it's sure to be an easy path to the top, right?
    ...right?
Thera is thrown into a path in which she must grow stronger to survive and thrive in the brutal natural world, and maybe make some friends along the way if at all possible. Just from the premise and first few chapters alone, it's obvious that this is going to be a wild ride.
also, the prose is better written than the early chapters of salvos. big w for author development. Still has its occasional issues, but it's way more readable than what the author used to write and it's super smooth. Above the current RR mean by a significant portion, I would say.
    also also, no grammar issues
Go read Thera if you like any of the following: turtles, National Geographic, Salvos, good litRPGs, progression, all of the above
Super solid work so far, and I'm looking forward to more.
