The Warlord is one of my favorite novels. It starts as a simple transmigration story, where our main character is filled with anger against the world. And while that was certainly very entertaining, it was his growth as a character that kept me coming back for so many chapters. For those who are scared of him becoming a pacifist, don’t be. This book does not fall into those trappings. No act feels misplaced, not a paragraph wasted. It is entertaining from beginning to end.
Read it,because the worse you can lose is time, and the best you can gain is a memory everlasting.

overall this story has a lot of potential with it not being a typical litrpg

The mc is a mix between a Barbarian, Crafter, Enchanter, and a Hedge Mage (even if he hasn’t actually used real magic yet) so that’s something unique

A listless young man is hired to be the champion of War by a goddess who keeps losing her champions.  She wants to try something new, so she picks Mark, who becomes Mordred.
Mordred picks powers I'm not sure I'd want - telekinesis, which I admit is cool, but also foresight and super speed.  Personally I'd pick regeneration myself, especially after Mordred gets badly injured again and again and again.
The world he is transported to is rather reminiscent of Earth's myths, especially the names - Arthur, Merlin, Guinevere, Lancelot, Kay.  It is known that people from Earth get isekai'd there.  Mordred isn't even the only living Earthling in the story.
I love The Warlord's plot and worldbuilding but its characterization and dialogue are what I like the best.  Characterization is absolutely awesome and very deep.  Dialogue is hilarious at times.  I really enjoy reading it.
Binged a few hundred chapters over just a few days.  Highly recommended.

"The Warlord" is a very good action story with a bit of romance, this story is not for those who don't like almost gratuitous violence, but if you make a little effort by continuing to read after the first chapters: the author continues to improve his chapters by adding diversity in vocabulary and storyline.
The story breaks with classic "system" tropes by adding a bit of battleroyale originality, with a system that is a neutral god and is stronger than most if not all other gods, the mc is definitely a bit silly being a total berserker who does not think much before rushing headfirst into the enemy base through the main door but he becomes endearing once his backstory is revealed and I can say that the author has put a lot of effort to write it.
Afterwards, as for the characters, we're not going to lie, most of them are in 2D (apart from certain characters) the few that the author works on are good, like Arthur or Guinievre (I don't know if it's written like that or not because I'm bad with names (_...._))
To summarize: the story is good, the script quite original, some characters are endearing, the romance is present but comes a little late in the story so we don't see it right away, the mc is great and comes out of the mc which manipulates everything or stuff like that which has become popular lately, the power fantasy (weak to strong to very strong) is also present but at the same time it's a litrpg action story so here we go was waiting.
Just like the mc, no need to think and go read this story because if you are like me you will love it.
(Hah yes also one last thing to share and this time it's for the author not for you my reader friends: we don't hear the mc's thoughts often enough so if you want to flesh out his character/realism a little more you know what to do but be careful not to make it into a long, endless monologue like what some authors do which ruins their stories :). )
Good luck author and good luck to my reading friends.

This is a different series a isekai that has an actual point and goal. And unfortunately will end. The character is the ultimate antihero almost villain but not quite. Then it adds a love story and even character growth not only from the main character but from some of the side characters this book is just awesome and one of the best.

I read quite a few stories but am normally too lazy to write a review. However, I read 64 chapters in 2 days and was sad not to be able to continue reading. The author came up with his own unique and interesting level system and I find everything very coherent. Unfortunately no blue boxes, but at least status and notifications are highlighted.
I like to read stories about villains from time to time, and the mc is indeed conscience-less at times and feared by the world. Still, his behavior is understandable in my opinion and he doesn't shy away from any opponent. Of course, he has some plot armor, but I don't think it detracts from the story.
Besides the mc, we get to know other protagonists, but the main focus is clearly on our warlord. Still, the other points of view are very refreshing. I find it particularly positive that there is no black and white thinking. Even though there are supposedly "good" and "evil" gods, it becomes clear to the reader that the world is more complex.
I can't say much about the grammar, since I'm not a native speaker, but even though I spotted errors from time to time, the reading flow wasn't disrupted.
I hope new chapters will continue to come regularly.
The story definitely has a lot of potential and I am very curious about the future character development.

The author writes a great litrpg story. Has great advancement with the character. The main character has great wit and I enjoy that he is trying to develop himself as a person.  Does good in remembering items that were forgotten bring them back into the story. Like the crafting aspect of the story as it adds to it, without becoming major aspect of the story.

Honestly, I started the story out liking it, but not loving it. The first two arcs felt this way for me. However, one thing that those arcs did well is show character growth. But arcs 3,4, and 5 stepped it up. The story started to really come together and push character growth and satisfying litrpg goodness. Keeping it going author!

I don't really know the exact reason why, but the flow of the story, the decisions the MC makes and his line of thinking behind them, and the sequence of events that transpire as a result, all of them give me an old-school-ish vibe. The characterization too. They all make me feel kinda nostalgic.
In a good way, of course. Although yeah, I can't really put my finger on why. It's just a feeling I get.
But I like it. Overall I really enjoy the story.
Grammar-wise, it takes a bit of getting used to, but it's not on the level that impedes my reading experience. And it may have taken many chapters, but it eventually improved.
And as a romance enthusiast, this series pulls it off pretty well. I love it. Author gave it enough time to brew so it has a strong foundation. And, this may be a biased opinion on my part, but I prefer it when MCs do not hesitate and just go for it (doesn't matter the MC's gender). And yeah the MC in this story does exactly that.
On another note, I'd like to point out something I noticed that might count as a bit of a flaw, and this ties in to the grammar aspect. It's the lack of impact the MC's inner monologue gives me. The run-on sentences really take away from the emotional effect his monologues are supposed to have. It really shows me how important the existence of commas is.
But well, to me personally, I eventually got used to it. So it's not like a really big deal, at least for me. I mean I've seen worse, so...

A pretty interesting story with a fairly diverse group of characters that let us look at the world for multiple angles as well as an interesting "system" interface for the litrpg elements. The Abilities that the mc get seem to be fairly well thought out and are interesting even if they can become rather long to read over and over as he levels them up (the author has shortened the way that they appear at this point in the story though). All and all a fun experience with long enough chapters to make you feel engaged.
