I don't normally blindly praise a story, but it's early on and I hope to encourage the author to continue the story.
The first three chapters establish the setting amd the main character well, and leaves plenty of room for the story to grow.
It clearly draws from many similar stories on the initial basis, amd I swear I've heard Blackwood as a family name before (maybe I'm thinking of Hunter the Parenting with the Blacklaws?).
This however is not in any way a bad thing on the similar beats, it's familiar, yet the author has left plenty of room for future development and really hit the ground running.
I look forward to reading more, and seeing how Catherine goes about things. Thank you for the chapters 🙏
