Description

A hundred tries to get it right. No more, no less. For twenty years, Balzam Magnos terrorized the world as its third Overlord: conquering kingdoms, slaughtering heroes, and crushing rebels under his iron boot. None could stand up to him. But then hedied, and Simon is now stuck with his Class. Owning the most powerful Class in the world has its downsides. The paladins? They want his head. His overpowered siblings? They want his throne. His empress stepmother? She wantsboth. And his predecessor’s assassin is still out there. But the Overlord Class has a secret: its user can turn back time to their coronation up to a hundred times, reliving their reigns until death. Simon has a hundred reigns to grow strong enough to fulfill his dreams. Not one more, not one less. Better make each one count. What to expect: - 100 loops, each wildly different — from crafting and dungeon crawling to intrigue and empire-building. - 5 chapters a week from Monday to Friday. - Hard-won power growth. - Epic battles, wicked plans, and world-shattering family feuds. - Dragons, demon magic, and punching arrogant princes in the face.

So far this has been really captivating. It reminds me a lot of another of the authors stories, the one about the vampires monarchs who kill a new king every year. No wonder it's already on "rising stars", it's really awesome to read. Waiting for new chapters will be so worth it, and they're pretty long too.

This is an incredible example of it's genres. Simon is a very interesting time loop character, and the mechanics of it are used to full effect. The tragedy of his would-be destiny is very painful. It centers a kindhearted protagonist at the center of a demonic kingdom built on tyranny and slavery, drenched in ars goetia imagery. It is as of yet unclear if he'll manage to make anything better for anyone when his only weapons are the tools of the enemy.

Simply one of the best Royal Road novels I have ever read. I have read a lot of timeloops but this has reignited my interest in them. I can't wait to see where Simon's story leads and find out whether or not he ever overcomes the evil he has been saddled with.

Familiar basic plot hook, but with outstanding twists
Loads of chapters on Patreon waiting for slightly more wealthy readers
    Decent grammar
Great pacing, no rush, no dragging

The series draws on the strengths of the author's previous works, and combines them in a western fantasy setting reminiscent of a practical guide to evil.
The protagonist, Simon, manages to feel suitably overpowered as befits The Overlord, yet remain impossibly outmatched by the challenges set against him. Good thing he has 100 reigns.

So far, everything is going well. Good luck, and I’m excited to keep reading!
It’s still early in the story, yet Void already promises something very captivating. The questions introduced right from the beginning have me on edge, eager for the next chapters.
My only concern at this point is how the story and pacing will unfold. The first couple of chapters felt somewhat rushed to me. A good portion of time was spent introducing characters and showing their relationships, but then we move on quickly.
Anyone who enjoys time-loop stories like Mother of Learning will likely enjoy this too. The main character is clever without being overcomplicated, the central mystery is compelling, and the story holds endless possibilities.
Even so, I trust Void enough to give him the benefit of the doubt.

This is probably shaping up to be my favorite Void Herald story.I've been following this story since not long after it launched on Patreon (chapter 44 now), and it's just been a ton of fun and a pure joy to read. I love these darker stories that do feel like they're still being built up and are going to be hopeful in the long run. The protagonist is a bit obtuse, but generally not in a frustrating way, and he's learning quickly. The time loop is fantastic, with both some great mysteries and moment-to-moment action and progression, and the framing of being limited to 100 loops immediately adds tension while also setting good long-term goals. And I'm a big fan of SMT/Metaphor: Re Fantazio, so a touch of that inspiration feels fun too. Looking forward to continuing to see how this story shapes up.

Solid story, very well written. The LitRPG elements feel meaningful and well thought out. Simon is an MC that feels very relatable, and the story maintains some real variety. I look forward to seeing how the progression continues, definitely enjoying the characters, how they change between reigns, and getting those level ups!

Everything about this book is what I seek and need in my life. I wish I can be half as good as this writer. The prose, the world building, the way things are set up is simply amazing. This story doesn't overwhelm you with numbers increasing like most. It's actually relevant to the story and doesn't just do pointless power wanking.
The way he designed the characters, their traits, the power setting and it's mechanic, while not particularly amazing, stood out amongst most Litrpg story since he doesn't make it about strictly numbers.
The way he doesn't run out of ideas for how each Reign, each loops so to speak, plays out is also very well done. You'll never be bored. Simon, for all his intelligence, tends to get caught when he overplayed his hands due to overconfidence and forgetting stuff he doesn't  know about. Which is good. You expect some Gary Stu but he has feelings, personal bias and flaws that affect his decision making in an organic way. He's a believable fool but I do dislike how he 'cares' about his cruel family. The only one that treats him nicely is Laurinne and the rest got no fucks to spare for him. They barely interact with him.
One noteworthy thing I like is how Balzam Magnos is like. He's dead at the start of the series but as we progress through the story, we see how incredibly deep his taint runs in his children. Truly the best villain since Thanos the Mad Titan.
I do dislike how the people speak though. They talk like modern era people even though the story has a medieval setting. Fantasy medieval with magi-tech but it's his choice by the end. I hope he plays more into the medieval fantasy aspect of the story. It's forgotten quite a lot actually on account of the magical aspect of it.

One of my favourites on royal road :) . I really like how each loops gives us a different look but exposes more of the larger story.I also like how Simon is growing with each and coming to realise that he might need to tackle problems in a different way next time
