Description

"When the Last of the Seven Draw Breath—the Door to Eternity shall open."

A long-forgotten prophecy, collecting dust for five thousand years. Silent, ominous... and, quite frankly, not Amriel Vardon's problem.

She was supposed to have a quiet life, in her quiet cottage, on the edge of a quiet Forest. No magical powers, no world-ending prophecies, and absolutely no mysterious strangers bleeding onto her floor.

But the universe has other plans.

Now, she's crossing between realms with a warrior with secrets older than kingdoms, learning about ancient prophecies, and facing a destiny she's really hoping is optional.

(Spoiler: It's not.)

I've read a lot of stories in my life, but few of them have ever been as hard to put down as The Door to Eternity. It starts with an amazing hook and just keeps piling on intrigue after intrigue, question after question, and surprising twist after surprising twist.
The flow of the story is perfectly crafted to keep pulling the reader forward from chapter chapter in a bid to find out what happens next, and next, and next again.

    STYLE : 5 Stars
The writing style in The Door to Eternity is easy to read, with just the right amount of description, characterization, backstory, and world-building slipped effortlessly into the prose to keep the reader aware of what they need to know at any given time, without overwhelming them with new information.
    -----
    STORY : 5 Stars
The story is engrossing and beautifully paced, with new intrigues and questions arising regularly, keeping the reader hooked and wondering what will happen next. Despite the ever-building intrigue, however, there are plenty of fun and quiet character moments to allow one to catch ones breath before once again forging on to see what happens next.

    GRAMMAR : 4.5 Stars
The grammar is almost perfect. The only reason I can't give 5 stars here is due to a bit of continuity wonkiness in a few of the chapters. Sometimes information is repeated needlessly, and very occasionally something is left out. In no way does this make the story difficult to understand, but it can give the reader a bit of a pause as they work to figure out if they haven't read something before or how exactly a character suddenly knows something the reader wasn't told about.
The author has acknowledged the issue and said they would be going back through the chapters to clean up these minor inconsistencies, at which point the story will deserve 5 stars across the board.

    CHARACTER : 5 Stars
All of the characters are well drawn, believable, and easy to care about, with realistic emotions and reactions to the different turns of eve
