Nyssa has a friend count of... zero. Because she is, however, the adoptive daughter of the Luminary Institute’s headmaster, she decides to enroll at the start of the new term as a ploy to get more friends. Sure, the Luminary Institutewasbuilt for training those with high-potential powers to become the next generation of heroes or hunters, and, sure, her motivation for enrollingwasa little suspect.

Yet, with the power to shapeshift into any animal she wants—fictional or real—she becomes the newest student of Class Zero.

Nerve-wracking.

The class is filled with people who have ‘problematic powers with high potential for destruction! The class has been nicknamed the ‘f- around and find out’ club by its own members! So, while her powers might fit in without a hitch, her goals in life certainly didnot. After all, her ‘f’ing around’ consisted of taking five naps in a day...

Do you like well polished stories?
Well honestly, even if you somehow said no to all of these, I'd recommend this and most of Esiyx's works. I personally prefer this one over crystal constellations, so it gets my vote for what you should read first, but don't let that stop you. I'm really looking forward to see where this ends up.
I wish I could give Nyssa ear scritches.

This story is a nice cozy romp. No high stakes drama, just good fun.
If this were an anime, it would be a combination of Sleepy Princess in the Demon Castle (which I'm SURE the author based Nyssa on) and Laid Back Camp.
No real complaints. Grammar is 9/10, editing seems ok, no real glaring errors.

I enjoyed the story and the characters. The world is not the type I usually enjoy, but this one was different and interesting. The plot had good foreshadowing to lead the reader in the narrative and the authord did a good job of painting the background. You know I just came to the read your story because of other positive reviews, and a description of fluffy hero type stories that I love to read. Book cover, whatever you call it, made me avoid reading it a bunch of times. But I kept it on my to - read later - folder. I finally read this couple days ago and couldn't put it down. Very adorable MC!!! So thank you for persevering and sharing your heart and vision of this world. It's a great journey so far I hope it doesn't end. Five stars from me.

Time is very fuzzy, with weeks and months flying by in 4-6 word sentences buried in the middle of middle paragraphs every few chapters. The story never gives the sense that months have passed in it's events, but says they have from time to time.
The other issue with pacing is that every scene a reader could be reading this story to see is skipped over. For example the author goes to lengths to set up a fun scene between one romantic lead and the other's family, and then ends the chapter. At the start of the next chapter days have passed and we don't get to see the scene.
This occurs for action, lore, romance, friendship and rivalry scenes constantly. Everything you want to see is set up, faded to black, and moved on from without ever showing it.
Which is a pity because what is there is really good. The useless lesbians are cute, the dysfunctional idiots are fun, the action has serious promise.
