Vol-1

Once, Lucifer was the brightest of the divine—a fool who thought he could outwit the heavens. In his arrogance, Lucifer stole the Seven Stones, relics embodying the seven sins, believing he could gift mankind a power meant only for gods. For his defiance, he was cast down, stripped of eternity, and cursed into mortal flesh. Reborn as a half-dragon, half-human, he sought redemption. He gave humanity knowledge, taught those with golden eyes to see mana and weave magic. But mankind betrayed him. His disciple struck him down, lusting after the Stones. In his final breath, Lucifer scattered them across the world and sealed his own soul.

A thousand years have passed. The seal has been broken, and he walks again—reborn without magic, without memory. Yet so does his enemy, and the hunt for the Seven Stones begins anew. History has been twisted; the world remembers him not as a saviour, but as the Devil. Now, trapped between rival towers, ambitious kings, and the same enemy who once dealt the final blow, the boy must choose: commit the seven sins to reclaim their power or uncover the stones where the world has buried them.

The Devil has returned. Though the world itself may now wear the title he once bore.

From the very first chapter, this story had me intrigued. It opens with a chilling prologue where Lucifer, our main character, faces off against a mysterious shrouded figure who seems to know more about him than he knows about himself. Right away, the story hints at a thousand-year-old connection between these two characters, but it doesn’t spoon-feed you answers—just enough to make you start theorizing. Who is this shrouded man? Why does he think Lucifer is tied to some ancient past? And why does Lucifer have horns and wings? It’s mysterious, dark, and deeply atmospheric, setting the stage for an epic tale.
The characters are one of the story’s greatest strengths. Lucifer is incredibly compelling as a protagonist. He’s born into a world of high expectations, but he can’t use magic like everyone else, which makes him feel like a disappointment. His golden eyes mark him as special, but instead of being a blessing, they seem to alienate him even more. His envy of his friends Leo and Canary is raw and relatable—he’s a boy who can’t seem to accept himself or the world’s expectations of him.
Marcus and Judith, Lucifer’s parents, bring an emotional depth to the story. They’re caught between celebrating their son’s birth and fearing what his future holds. The tension between them adds an interesting layer. Marcus is hiding something—there’s this secret he carries about their homeland which they left behind. You can feel the weight of his fears in every scene he’s in.
Then there’s Umbral. Even though he hasn’t been fully freed yet, his essence being introduced in the form of a vial adds this looming sense of danger. The subtlety of his presence works really well—he’s not dominating the story yet, but you know he’s going to be important.
The plot is ambitious and packed with potential, but I’ll admit, it can feel overwhelming at times. So many things are happening in the early chapters: Lucifer’s birth, his struggles with envy, Marcus and Judith’s secrets, the tension in the
