- AgronaRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This story from it's beginnings with The House Witch all the way to this one have brought forth uncontrollable amounts of laughter and tears, heart racing hopes and gut wrenching fears. Many a time I have gone to work with a book hangover and honestly it has been worth it every single time.
- Alexrider007Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0Honestly I love this whole series I read them all within a week not because they're short but because I just could not put down the book.! The author does an amazing job of world building I have not previously read the rest of his artwork but I may go back and read them now.
- AlinaViktoriaRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0First of all: I totally broke some reading records this week - I see you all at the next national reading championship!
Honestly - I just couldn't stop reading... I already love Kat so much and I still adore Eric even with all his pain and hardship (I believe he's still a cinnamon bun at heart)!
This story is all and even more you would expect from an "The House Witch" Sequel! - BirdicusRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0For one the Author is wonderful, the notes at the end of every chapter make my day and are a story in themselves.
For two the story is beautiful and full ranged, made me laugh uncontrollably, cry, made me angry, and sad. I highly recommend, definitely recommend reading the House Witch first to get the full experience.
I read this story chapter by chapter following it from the moment it came out, I do this with many stories and I drop many due to slow releases and/or just not my type of story, but not this one.
I will be patient and hope that this story continues with a new book. I will be watching and waiting.
Cheers to you oh great one, on another completed and beautiful story. Thank you for making this a lovely experience both with the story and the author's notes.
I hope you have a great day you beautiful human.

. - CatAtTheHelmRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This is only the second book on Royal Road that has sucked me in so solidly that I check almost every day to see if there's an update.
I stumbled on this author and her series on the house witch out on Amazon. The main character of the original series is the current book's female lead's father. The house witch series starts some twenty or so years earlier than the current volume.
I started reading the original series and got hooked - and discovered that the author was someone on Royal Road. As a fan of Royal Road, I was happy to see an author make progress with selling novels she started posting here.
This is quality writing, and I say that as someone who is a professional newspaper reporter and editor. There are some typos, some very minor grammar and a few stylistic writing points that I wouldn't let slide in the writing staff at my publication - enough to catch my notice every now and then but nothing that would make me pummel the author. Every author has their goofs - including me, and I write for a living. It's no big deal and I suspect most of what I've seen will get fixed before the author takes the text offline in order to publish it on Amazon unlimited.
The plotting on this installment of the Ashowan family saga is a little less tight, a little more ambitious and much more sprawling than the previous books, but that's okay. The action thus far has been more complicated and a bit darker than the earlier books. I like the evolution.
This has been a really fun plot so far. The male lead and the female lead can' barely tolerate each other initially. They argue and fight and bicker ... so of course, they fall in love. It's very romcom in a good way.
The plot and subplots are more intricate and involved than the earlier books, but the comedic romance and the humor that drew me to this series is still alive and well. The world building is an engaging and well-done twist on a medieval setting with a unique magic and deity system on top.
The characters are comple - GEORGIA RAYRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I really am enjoying this continued story which follows up on the foundational series, The housewitch. It is lighthearted and the heroine is kind and honorable and a fierce protector of those she loves. I do wish we could move onto a bit if an hea between the prince and our heroine. Hint, hint ;)
- K5P26Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0If you've read the previous 2 titles and liked it, then you're also going to like this one. But for those who haven't yet, I really think you need to because you'll be more confuse than an old man figuring out pronouns of the modern hippies nowadays.
Grammar is great, Character is great, Plot progression is great, its not bad nor it is a literary masterpiece, but it is a middle ground and something to look forward to reading. - Kevin MillerRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0It's just started, but if the previous books are any indication, it's going to be a masterpiece!
And the cat on the cover looks adorable and I am ready to see how she comes into play.
The magic system is unique, and the world is very original while still having that magic medieval vibe.
Luckily for newcomers, I don't believe it's fully necessary to have read the previous ones! - Meredith McDanielRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0The entire house witch serious and continued books like the burning witch being so much joy to my day!
also I’m very excited for the future of pina colada! I’m also curious to know why the raccoon is so large.
the creativity of adding in portals and how they function is new and refreshing! - Neenee17Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0I look forward to every post this author puts out. The Burning Witch is a wonderful story. Delemhach writes their characters like they are old friends that meet every Friday over a pint. Every detail is pertinent to the story, very well thought out, and in most instances - so witty! I have laughed out loud to Kat's antics several times in this book. Thank you for writing 'The House Witch' and this wonderful spin-off to that series.
