Tales of the Omniverse 1: The Founding of Mortlake City

Following Earth's induction into the Omniverse, a bundle of universes ruled by the System, where haughty Cultivators cross paths with cunning skill-using originators in a quest for power and treasures, this particular short story tells the first seven days of survival of one Charlie Thatcher, a security guard in a shopping centre, as he gets a crash course on how the System works, its new archetype, class, characteristics and skills, all the while fighting to survive and see another day.
