Description
One of the lower class does not have the right to choose their own fate. They were born into it. Where most simply wish to keep the status quo, there exist some who aspire to be something greater. Those who succeed are passed down in stories as heroes of legends. To Adrian, these stories and aspirations are utterly absurd and unrealistic. These stories are largely exaggerated in order to garner attention. Worse yet, you'd have likely died by the time your fame spread. The idea of gaining fame and glory by doing good deeds is a mere hoax! The rich get richer and the poor get poorer. That is Adrian's belief.---Author's note: I have been attempting to write a chapter a day. However, as a result, I feel that my writing is sloppy. So, from hereon out, I will be revising the earlier chapters in order to improve overall coherence of the story. Sorry for any inconveniences and thank you for reading. I will continue updating chapters when I feel that I have successfully revised my work.

- paulnotpeterRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This story is crafted so beautifully, combining both striking artwork and a captivating writing style, that I’m already eager for more. It’s not just the plot that draws me in—it’s the author’s storytelling itself. I’m looking forward not only to the next chapters of this tale but to anything else this creator has in store. Their talent for balancing art and narrative truly sets them apart, making this a memorable read and leaving me excited to see what else they’ll bring to life.

Everything about the web fiction is primed for impact. First, the art really works. It helps set the scene and give us a visually-engaging view of key characters, but there's more going on here than just the visuals. The prose is equally eye-popping, taunt and descriptive in just the right measure. I also particularly like the subtle addition of bold text to draw the reader's eyes to key characters and elements.
This is the most comic book-y fiction I've read, and I'm totally here for it.
The story follows Jasper Hart, a young man with burgeoning powers who finds himself caught between two super-powered faction - the traditional heroes of HOPE and the rebellious forces of the Syndicate. The tale of a young man trying to find his own past between two powerful factions is familiar, and that might be the web fiction's one weakness - it's very familiar so far Tropes are all well and good, but much of "The Syndicate" seems to have be done before.
That said, the story is very early, and there's still room for plenty of surprises. So far the fiction has a stunning presentation queued up for the highest impact, and with a just a couple more twists, it could be primed for an action-packed adventure.
