I’m enjoying this work so far. It’s perfect if you’re in the mood for some paranormal slow-burn MM harem tease (and of course, Beastmen, lizard men, etc.). The magic and familiar system is rather interesting. While the MC does start off very timid, he soon develops a backbone — which is a relief, as I tend to dislike MCs who are perpetually weak. While we get the MCs POV most of the time, there are short segments of POVs of the familiars scattered around. This helps flesh out the characters a bit, though so far I don’t think they stray too far from their first impressions.
One thing that does bother me, however, is that this sometimes reads like anime/cartoon (I actually like the fight scenes though). As the synopsis suggests, this is probably in the young adult or new adult level of reading.
Please keep up the good work, author!
