Description

The year is 1960, and the central continents of ‘Trynar’ & ‘Sonyaps’ horizon total war. With various alliances and protectorates across the globe, an inevitable Continental-Wide war will bring forth the world into absolute conflict, the likes of which the world of Sovereign's Gambit would never have so much as imagined.

Which brings us to Thatradore. More commonly known as ‘The Kingdom of Thatradore’. An absolute island monarchy positioned just outside the continental borders of Sonyaps.

As the Age of Enlightenment claimed its many victims in the wake of the 20th century, Thatradore remains among the few true Kingdoms left in the world. In an age where democracy, national security & the rights of man dominates global politics, Thatradore is often considered an outlier.

The Kingdom has no legislature, no bill of rights, and even the right to trial is not even a right in the lawful eyes of the kingdom, despite varying from province to province.

You would think: ‘It must be a feudal nightmare!’ or ‘It would be such a backward state’, but surprisingly. Not really.

Thatradore itself boasts a moderately above average standard of living, and despite a lack of rights for its subjects, provincial houses like Arlickhino & Belmont offer some variations of them. Say what you may, people don’t have it the worst there.

Although The Age of Enlightenment never reached the isolated shores of the Kingdom, the cracks have shown itself more and more apparent for decades. After the death of King Paric ‘The Great’, his late son, King Paric Belmont II (Later known as ‘The Inept’) took the throne of the Kingdom in 1939.

And although the antics of Paric ‘The Great’ were very, very long, his son had attempted to unify the Kingdom by bridging the gap between Subject & Nobility, he was only partly successful as unlike his father, Paric II lacked political foresight and power projection, allowing power plays by House Gatsby in undermining his rule and even attempted the coup the Belmont Family. Needless to say, that among other things didn’t make him very popular.

But after the death of the King, another heir, Fredrick Belmont III was thought to take the Kingdom, but after the will reading of the King, there was another heir;  Amilia Belmont.

Now that's what led us here, but what can you expect from the story?

Well, some may include:

If you’ve played Suzerain (namely the Rizia DLC), then you may/will see a few parallels. Second off, If you haven't, please play the game and support the dev’s at Torpor Game's, they’re the main inspiration for the story written here. That, and the game’s so awesome & high quality! I got 500+ Hours in it.
