Description

The map is on your skin and the hunt is on.

Kaleb wakes up in a mysterious world of magic and monsters with a new tattoo he doesn't remember getting. A sadistic and wise-cracking system tells him that he's one of 10,000 people who have been transported to Celestia. The catch? They each have a piece of a map on their skin and some very powerful people are vying to collect those pieces.

He'll face monsters and cultists alike as he has to fight for his right to not be skinned alive in a world full of people who desperately want to do just that. The only way to ensure his safety, is to gain power.

Welcome players, to Celestia!

It's your lucky day! You get to be the newest residents of this little slice of heaven.

This is a world filled with peoples of all races, monsters, magic and even the odd dragon or two.

How great does that sound? It’s literally every nerd’s dream come true right?

So, what’s the catch?

You’re being hunted!

That’s right folks, all 10,000 of you have been gifted a brand-new tattoo, completely free of charge. Each tattoo is a wholly unique and different part of a map. The Celestial Map to be precise, not that I expect you to know what that means.

Gods, cultists, kings, crime syndicates and... well basically anyone with power in Celestia, are oh so very eager to put that map back together again, piece by agonising piece.

They see you when you’re sleeping. They know when you’re awake. They want to skin you all alive so run or you’ll get flayed!

The map is on your skin and starting now, the hunt is on.

Good look out there, players. We hope you enjoy your stay in the idyllic and welcoming world of Celestia.

Interesting world building, cool powers and a genuine plot! That's rare these days with the clones of other novels popping up and becoming top fictions. I hope publishing gets the story the attention it deserves. I liked the first book and I'm still reading. One critique is I don't like the idea of others maneuvering the mc into their schemes and him being blissfully unaware. I'd rather not be privy to the scene in that instance, than to feel too aware when the mc interacted with a character that is undercover plotting. Lol

Overall great story I love it. I have been reading this since about the 7-10 chapter release and have enjoyed it quite a lot.
    Style:
The author has a decent writing style, whereas it's not the absolute best, but it could be on a professional level with it being easily comprehendable and fun to read.
    Grammar:
Grammar is decent only missing/not using some punctuation.
    Story:
Great plot with breaks from the main character to show more about side characters that will definitely be important later on. The System is funny in a childish way making horrible jokes and references and insulting the MC but still making it funny for the readers.
    Character:
Good Main Character, Not too overpowered but powerful enough that he could unknowingly cause a bit of damage, even on accident, MC can get oblivious but that's just a part of his character and it helps with the plot.
Side characters are dynamic and have their parts of the story that feed into MC's path to greatness. The amount of side characters with a good backstory is around the majority of the side characters and kudos to the author for not making them flat and dull.
(Come on! I just need a few more words to fill the requirement is that so hard Royal Road?)

I’m enjoying the story so far.
It’s written in an exciting & fast paced style & jumps straight into the good stuff. I love the mean & funny updates on Kaleb’s HUD system & I absolutely adore Panda! I can’t wait to see how powerful Kaleb can get & how that stacks up to the rest of Celestia’s occupants.

An over the top blend of hhfwm and the primal hunter. The author took a bit more from both of them, but he keeps it open about that. All of the characters are well forged and the story has its own soul. I would enjoy more over the top stuff, which imho is the center point of this story.

Fairly well written with only the rare spelling mistake or two. It has a good range of characters and a decent plot, it is just too full of trope and pop culture references to let me stay engaged. The characters, while diverse, are fairly one dimensional and generally caricatures with exception to a limited few 'core' characters and there is the occasional leap in logic (within the in-universe rules) that is smoothed over for the sake if the general flow of the story.
While not for me if you are the type that enjoys the slightly less serious and 'trashy' (Not meant in a derogatory way) stories you could certainly do much worse
