- SemperSermoRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I love the slow burn growth. It's nice to have a character that wants to take things slow and figure things out rather than immediately trying to break the world they live in. The author created characters that feel authentic and with a young protagonist we are finding out about the world as he does which allows for slow reveals of a larger world. I look forward to the journey.
- TequilamaRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0You don't know that you need to read this before you start. I'm craving for the following chapters!Overall 5/5I almost binged the whole list of chapters available and didn't regret an inch of it. The story is great, the characters really likeable and the world really felt lived-in.Style 4.5/5If it was possible to give 4.75 I would do it. Everything flaws really easily and is really enjoyable. The very little details associated with programming are sometimes a bit too precise for those who are not in the field. It can be argued from one person to another, though, and the scenes where the MC is making up skills as programming are entertaining nonetheless and didn't put me out of the page. Seeing that the author did put some removed part of the drafts in notes allows us to see that a real work has been made to make the "skill crafting" more digestible, which is definitely not easy with such a theme.Story 5/5I'm a bit biased when it comes to isekai as the structure is really similar between stories but this one is masterfully crafted. I had vibes of mushoku tensei during the first chapters. Discovering the world through the eyes of Peter was really great. We start to care for the characters right away, even the minor ones and in each important scenes (no spoilers), we feel the emotions with the MC.Grammar 5/5Nothing much to say, everything is clear, and we can see that the chapters have been carefully checked with one major edit at least once. And any very minor errors remaining are swiftly removed. Great work.Character 5/5As I said in the story part, each character, not only the MC, are very likable and felt real. Their emotions and reactions felt authentic. Only thing that I felt was that sometimes the responsibilities (to the village) of the mother's MC are not really felt, either before or when everything went upside down. Nevertheless, that was so minor that it is worth the 5/5. For the MC, everything seems flawless, as a toddler to a kid, nothing pulled me out or
- RainyLiquidRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Boy have I been busy hehe... I made it to twenty though and I never go back on my word so it's time I leave my review on Soul Script, also once called Boring Story Shoe Shoe.
I really enjoyed this story. Going into it I was a little afraid it might be to similar to TBATE, since the MC is a reincarnated person from another world who is sent to a strange fantasy world and is raised by loving parents, and also has mana, but this story is wildly different and very good!
For starters, Peter is a very interesting MC. The story actually treats him like an adult despite the fact he is in a child's body because the mind he has is that of an adult. He thinks rationally and calmly and has a level of maturity to him that I really enjoyed.
His abilities and use of the system is also crazy cool, being able to make new skills and figure things out that he shouldn't. The story also doesn't do anything to rush anything. Peter is a baby for several chapters and then he's still a small kid for several more. Even 20 chapters later he is still a child and just now starting to fully properly change and grow.
Reading the story is essentially watching Peter's life story and getting to see him improve bit by bit. Him being an adult in a child's body causes him to make choices both mentally and emotionally that normal kids wouldn't and at first I was afraid it would cause a rift between him and his parents but shockingly Peter's mom and dad are very well written and definitely not your standard trope characters.
Joseph especially, is probably one of my favorites, because he really cares for Peter and does a lot to help him grow but also will stop the moment Peter needs to.
In terms of story, I'll say that the general overall plot is mildly lacking since most of the early stuff is there to set Peter up, but it still doesn't take away from anything or the setting I think.
This novel has been a blast to read and I'm looking forward to seeing more! - NiheelRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This novel is so fun, from him creating his own skills to the sudden shift in atmosphere it has been an extremely enjoyable read and I'm looking forward to how our mc will develop.I usually don't like overpowered Summons but since he will most likely catch up rather quickly I don't mind. And he did pay a grave price for it. So I think that this aspect is also very well written props to the author.
- DjyellenRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0So far so good. Im really enjoying the story. I'm hoping you write fast. But I don't like to write and for some reason this is requiring 50 words sooo blah blah blah blah blah noodles.... seriously that's only 36 hmmm purple squirel fart muffin sky pixies and scoobidie doo.
- TarisRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Intriguing premise, great execution. Pacing of the story is just perfectly balanced to provide enough time to absorb exposition without feeling overwhelming, and at the same time gives us insight into the lead character's early life. That said, the "slow burn" is definitely not a "boring" one. With a host of distinct people around, the story comes alive.
I will gladly read more, and see where it takes us. Thank you! - ChipcarverRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This is a nice OP reincarnation story with a good balance of feel good moments in amongst the more grim scenes, and general story progression. So far I would definitely recommend!
The main character is OP, but not overly so. And the way the reincarnated memories aren't fully intact, is an interesting new take on a generally more static trope. - CervineComedyRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I very much enjoy what I've read so far! I love what I've seen of the setting so far, and I feel the characters are well written and fit in with the story and setting perfectly. I'm looking forward to reading more as the story continues. I wish you luck, and can't wait to see where this story is going!
- EliasireRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Overall Impression:This is a fantastic novel with a lot going for it. The writing is strong, the pacing is well-balanced, and the worldbuilding is both logical and immersive.Main Character:The protagonist is extremely powerful and rational, which makes for a very satisfying read. Either the reasoning behind decisions is immediately apparent, or the character clearly explains their thought process—something I found very rewarding. While some readers may prefer a more emotional or spontaneous character, I deeply appreciated the intellectual approach here.Magic System & Worldbuilding:The magic system has clearly defined consequences. This isn’t a fairy-tale world where problems are solved with a snap of the fingers. Instead, actions carry weight, adding gravity and depth to the story. The world feels real, and the systems are thoughtfully constructed.Tone & Style:This is a grimdark story—expect tragedy, difficult moral choices, and emotional weight. If you enjoyed Singer, Sailor, Merchant, Mage, you’ll likely find a similar appeal here, though this story feels a bit more grounded in realism.Characters:The cast is believable and grounded. No one feels overly exaggerated or out of place. Their actions make sense within the logic of the world.Writing Quality:The prose is solid throughout. There were no noticeable grammar issues, awkward dialogue, or spelling mistakes. While nothing stood out as exceptionally poetic or groundbreaking, I was consistently immersed, and never pulled out of the story by poor phrasing or typos.
- monologo21Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0I don't know why this novel is getting such a low rating. I am quite pleased with it overall. The pacing is just right for me it's a cool little novel to unwind to. Writing to me is weirdly reminiscent of beneath the dragon eye moons. With much more stoic character.
