Description

Read Shrubley, the Monster Adventurer Book 1 on Amazon & Kindle Unlimitedhere! And read book 2here!

Shrubley wants to be the greatest S-Grade adventurer the world has ever known.

That's a tall order when you're a monster. And to make matters worse, Shrubley is the weakest type of monster imaginable. He's a walking, talking, shrub.

With infinite stores of optimism, Shrubley brazenly strolls into the nearest Adventurers Guild with an invitation card from the Druid that gave him life.

While the invite guarantees admittance, it will be an uphill battle to convince his fellow adventurers that he's not just another monster, but a hero-in-training. When he's not brawling with monsters threatening the local townsfolk, he'll be fighting for acceptance from the very people he's saving.

With a band of fellow low-tier monsters, a tiny slime, a skeletal mage, and a koblin, Shrubley sets off to prove that monsters can be heroes too.

What to expect:Weak to monstrously strong, a diverse cast of monsters with unique monster-race powers, a deep Class and color-based magic system, silly puns, and of course a hefty dose of optimism. Because the world is dark enough right now and we all could use a little light in our lives.

I knew what I was getting into, yet I still got wholesome overload as I read the first chapter I can just feel the Happy Hormones flowing straight into ny brain, it is simply so wholesome and stupidly adorable, its like seeing a being so innocent, naive, and pure explore the world around it with the curiosity of a child.

Cute yet well made, overall a pleasant read that I accidentally blew through. No criticism, but laughing at the humor that is so refreshing to feel. Honestly love how lighthearted it cone off as at the beginning, just on chapter 12. Need 50 words though please Puns never die. Hope the author keeps on keeping ob

The story is well written with a lighthearted feel.  But it also has depth.  It’s not just fluff for the sake of fluff.  There is enough of a legitimate litrpg foundation to build this scenario on top of.  The cover photo is brilliant because I picture that little guy in every scene and it makes it so much better.  I’m liking where the story is going.  The system makes sense and is open ended to allow for speculation on how everyone will progress.

The story of this lil crafty shrub with big dreams has been nothin but a splendid experience, a wonderful cast of characters, a neat magic system, a lit rpg that doesnt make the system the core of everything, and an interesting power progression system. I look foward to learning the direction book 2 is going to bring this tale.

It's a fun story about a cheerfully niave shrub. He makes friends, and challenges prejudices about what it means to be a hero and adventurer.
I have high hope to see the rest of monster party assemble and handle unexpected issues such as bullies, and vampires. And deminsional tricks
I want to support the author but I have a hard time writing myself so I'm adding filler to hit word limits

Shrubley is a lovely little monster that will take you on a wonderful ride with him! It's smooth, it's fun, and this little guy seems to be pretty cool! If Shrubley would ask me to go on a quest with him I would accept instantly!
I really liked the style of the author, different from what I've been used to read lately but after a few chapters, I got used to it and I would say that it was very pleasant.
It's so good to read something like that without the extra killing and so on!
Shrubley is the perfect companion for your next read!

12 chapters in and im already so invested in the journey of shrubley its unreal, its been a long time since ive felt such genuine joy from a story that i couldnt stop smiling. Im already at the point where id die for shrubley.
Shrubley is the essence of what we all wish adventuring would be, happy to help and wants to get strong so he can help better.
Ill take as many chapters as i can get, storys amazing and you should read it.

I adore the vibes imbued into this world. I love a good 'low power' monster evo work, and this is one that I believe has been done quite well.
A truly kind, naive MC is something I didn't realise would be so enjoyably compelling to follow, but I can say I've been pleasantly surprised.
The definition of the magic system is in it's infancy right now, but I can see it growing into a multi-faceted, intruiging take.
I can't wait to follow Shrubley's adventures on his journey to S-Grade making the world a better place along the way.

As the title says, this might be the cutest thing ever.  Though in the best way possible.  The MC is a bush, literally.  However, he's a bush that dreams of becoming an Adventurer and helping people.  He has a ton of optimism, a kind heart, an insatiable curiosity, and a lot of gumption.  He's also about as naive and innocent as it gets.  However, instead of getting in the way, it lets him look at the world without any blinders on.  He doesn't let "the way thing are" stop him and forges ahead doing the right thing.
Having said all of this, the story itself is not weak.  The world is flushed out.  The way magic and classes and levels work makes sense and is internally consistent.  There's a lot of silliness and a good dash of comedy.  But the characters feel real.  The world feels real.  And it's quite possibly the cutest thing ever...
If you're looking for a story with a lot of lighthearted heart, this is a good one and well worth a look.
