Daphne is accustomed to cleaning up messes, so when this early-thirties cop is teleported by the Goddess of Rebirth Hecate at the time of her death to another world full of creatures of lore, Fae, she was truly unsurprised. Daphne was delivered to the last devout Court, it's here that she meets the two High Lords of the neighboring Courts. Lireal and Riven. While learning her place as the Lightbringer, she discovers the truth behind the downfall of Hecate and what the previous Lightbringer did to the people of the Courts. Now Daphne had to mend the broken bonds between the Courts and survive in a world that was not built for humans. While doing this, she was healing from her own wounds hoping that time would help lessen her pain.
