Royal Reboot: Level up, Your Majesty!

Description
Once feared as the Queen of Shadows, Eydis now faces her greatest humiliation: high school. Stripped of her magic, her kingdom, and most egregiously, her Pride, she’s stuck in the body of a weak, wimpy teenager with no power, allies, or money. As for her terrifying familiars, well… “it’s complicated.” And let’s forget about that eldritch eye watching from the heavens (debatable), ominously known as… the Eye. Anyway, external, albeit grotesque, threats aside, there was also her past coming up against her. Eydis knows shadows always trail after her. The question is whether she will stand in them once more as their queen, or be swallowed by them, piece by piece. Chapter updates weekly, weakly.

There are many reasons for this throughout the book but the main one is the characters. From its very first chapter this is evident, they pull you into the story and never let go. The MC Eydis and her interactions with her partner are a delight to read and I cant help but want more of them.
I would write more but reviews arent really my thing, the last thing I will say is that I've enjoyed this story so much that I've read through it twice already - CaoimhinRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This story has been very enjoyable and a true delight to read. Highly recommended.
Initial chapters give a feel like reading a Japanese Light Novel, with the style, genres, and tropes in the story being consistent with it.
As the story progresses, the chapters take a shift towards more mature aspects, delving into the pasts of the characters and developing their relationships.
Style:
The prose is spectacular, and at least in the first arc the story seems to exist within the boundaries and tropes of the Otome Villainess genre, operating with manga/webtoon logic for both events and the way the characters act. That comes with strengths and weaknesses, but the author has handled this pretty well, making situations that could have easily fallen into cliche turn into something interesting and enjoyable without diverging from the common tropes.
The writing style is such that the author can generate the effect that she desires in the readers. Scenes that are meant to be funny are hilarious, serious scenes are treated with the proper gravitas even when we may assume that MC is not in danger the scene can cause a sense of anticipation.
And the scenes that are meant to be romantic are tender and hot depending on the scene and context, in the scenes where there's sexual tension you can feel that there's electricity in the air.
So the author has proven to be able to move the heart of the readers, displaying great skill at conveying what she wants and setting the scenes as she envisions them.
Story:
As mentioned, the story exists within the boundaries and tropes of the genre, and operates with manga/webtoon logic. We follow the daily life of Eydis the Queen of Shadows, who supposedly was on the way to conquering her world when a battle made her fall into a portal and she woke up in a new world without her magical powers.
We then follow her life as she adapts to her new life and tries to recover her magic, although beyond that she does not seem to have much of a plan. She will thi - DaniWritesRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Level Up, Your Majesty! is the kind of novel that you open to just read a chapter or two, and then before you know it, it's 4 am the next day and you have just finished binging it.
There are a few reasons behind it, but firstly let me talk about the most important one: Eydis.
Eydis is the heart of this story. Being the MC, we watch the story unravel mostly through her lens. And it is an absolute delight.
Eydis is clever, capable, witty, smart, and undeniably charming. Even without her powers, she's not a damsel in distress. I'd risk saying that one of the best parts about Level Up is watching Eydis mop the floor with people with the sheer power of maxed-out charisma and speech.
Her presence is so strong that she easily dominates every scene she's in, with only Astra being able to match her. Which often leads to a true feast for all GL lovers, because their chemistry is incredible.
I won't go into details to avoid spoilers, but if you're looking for a steamy yuri ship that will leave you blushing like a pure maiden, then look no further.
In general, the characters are probably the strongest point of Level Up. They are interesting, fleshed out, and feel like actual people, not just props to make the MC look better.
The plot is meaty with some twists and turns that will keep you smashing that "next" button like an addict. It's well thought out with some interesting spins on the common tropes.
The writing is fantastic. It's the perfect balance between getting to the point while retaining the element of artistry without being overbearing.
The scenes are vivid and visceral, fights are engaging. The quieter moments feel intimate and soft, while the hotter moments have the perfect amount of spice.
The only warning I have for people is: do not start it on a weekday. Seriously, once you start, you won't be able to stop.
Binge responsibly, people! - RielleRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0It's illegal for something this good to exist.
If you’re looking for a romance where every word sends shivers down your spine, every gesture screams emotion, where the tension in the air practically becomes tangible — then you’ve found the right one.
I’m genuinely thrilled to have stumbled upon such a rare gem, because it’s incredibly hard to find a romance among web novels that truly resonates with you. Most authors either write something cute and fluffy, or go down the “casual s*x first, feelings later” route. Both approaches lack real passion, sincerity, and emotional depth. But here, all of that exists in abundance. And what makes it even more special is that both heroines start off guarded and distrusting — watching them slowly open up to one another feels almost sacred.
To be honest, I wasn’t particularly impressed during the first forty or so chapters. Our heroine, Eydis, the Queen of Shadows, is an absolute delight to read — her wit, her charm, her presence instantly pull you in. But without someone who could challenge her, tame her, match her — reading about her ups and downs didn’t feel all that rewarding. Thankfully, everything changes in Volume 2. The romance hits in full, and the novel immediately became one of my favorites.
Also, I have to say — reading the comments under each chapter was an absolute blast. Sometimes they were just as entertaining as the story itself.
And I really appreciate images author added to the story. Some of them are so good that I even put them on my background.
