Description

Synopsis:

Thalric, a god who fled his collapsing universe, now finds himself in a strange new world. Stripped of divine stature but not ambition, he begins his rise by molding scattered bandit gangs into a disciplined warband. His goal is absolute: conquer the world—or ascend trying.

With no allegiance, no gods to serve, and no mercy to give, Thalric charts a brutal path to power. Empires will fall. Armies will kneel. To many, his rise is unjustified savagery. But Thalric knows the truth: he is the harbinger of death and unity. And only he has witnessed the true enemy that threatens all reality. He will reclaim his godhood—not through prayer, but through conquest.

His name is Thalric, the God of War.

    Overall:
The story has structure, ambition, and a clear direction, but it's still playing it safe. Once it starts showing instead of summarizing and lets characters get messy, it'll hit way harder.
    Style:
The writing is clean but lacks voice. There's little flair or rhythm to the prose—it’s mostly functional. A bit more punch, some imagery, or even one well-executed emotional beat would really elevate the style.
    Grammar:
Solid mechanics. Few if any distracting errors. The sentences are clear, if a bit stiff at times. Easily one of the cleaner stories on RR in terms of readability.
    Story:
The bones are strong: fallen god, military buildup, looming politics. But right now, it’s more roadmap than journey. It needs a standout moment—something gripping, risky, or unexpected. The plot’s fine... but it’s not lighting any fires yet.
    Character:
Thalric’s consistent and Paul finally feels human in the latest chapter (Talent), which helps a lot. But most characters are still stuck in archetype mode. Let someone break the mold. Let them fail, lash out, cry, anything. There’s potential here—it just hasn’t exploded yet.
    Final Thoughts:
The author has clearly got a strong foundation and a real sense of structure. if they keep building on that, keep pushing their characters, they're going to end up with something really good here.
