Raccoon's Treasure

Description

People waking up is a part of the usual normal life.

An uncountable number of people waking up with fuzzy memories and selective amnesia, only to be greeted with a status screen congratulating them for being a participant of a game?

The new normal.

Uncertainty follows the realization as the world around them, while looking the same, melts together with memories of what was once called fantasy.

New surroundings and blurred borders await as we follow a young man along his path of survival and growth.

In this new world power is quantified and upgradeable, traits get objectified and give out boons, while feats, some bigger, some smaller get rewarded. So how hard could it be to procure enough food and water?

Genre, tags and content warning are subject to change. They were selected preemptively to cover certain bases for future chapters. I do not have a script only a premise and general outline I will follow along as I write.

As this is my first try at writing I'd be overjoyed to get any kind of feedback.

Very good so far, not much else to say. The sense of humor in the story resonates with me. Grammar is top-notch from what I could discern, and the descriptions are easy to visualize without being cumbersome. The author also has a pretty distinctive narrative style, if you're sick of all the generic isekai garbage.

I've just finished reading chapter 13, and so far it is really good. The pace is good, neither rushed or slow.
The characters, and the way they are introduced are amazing.
Reading this feels natural, as the writing is smooth, the jokes are good, and everything flows perfectly.
You may have noticed it from reading all the garbage we've read in the past, but in lightnovels and webnovels, we usually barely have any description. We have the generic descriptions for characters, cities, places and so on, making us wonder what the hell we've just read. So you can imagine my happiness when finding a proper description when a new person / place / object appears in Raccoon's treasure. A variety of words, suiting the needs, is used to convey the feeling the characters have, and to relay the intention of the author.
The characters are unique, and so far, the cliché tropes from random Isekai novel are all either avoided or subtly made fun of.
It is original, fresh and interesting, which is becoming rarer these days.
Keep up the good work Char !
TDLR; it's good ! So stop wasting more time, and start reading the novel.

    Fun new isekai though!
If you do NOTHING else, read chapter one. Even if isekai stories aren't your thing. Even if you have no plans to read the rest of the story. Read chapter one, for it is amazing.
Do it now. The rest of this review will be here when you get back.
Once you've met our protagonist, you'll probably be hooked and the wild ride hasn't stopped yet. You know the rules and so do I- wait, we actually don't and neither does anyone else. Narrative shifts in a few chapters help slowly fill in the background of the amazing in media res introduction and develop the characters beyond what each of them sees individually with each shift in perspective.
Some parts may be confusing, but that's okay. They're supposed to be, as we see what they see, and some of them see the world in their own special, unique ways.
Looking forward to seeing how this develops after the stage is fully set!
