Description

The novel revolves around the journey, struggles, and sacrifices of a young girl namedLiora Belle. This 19-year-old girl from theSanctora Kingdomhas beautiful features, fair skin, and shiny black hair. Initially, she is an ordinary girl with no extraordinary magical skills or noble lineage. She is a soft-spoken, gentle, loving, and somewhat naive young woman—traits that are considered quite normal in her homeland due to deeply ingrained cultural values. However, these qualities seem almost absurd onThalvoria, a planet rife with war and brutality threatening human survival.

Indeed, humanity now faces two choices: fight back against their enemies or passively face extinction. Their adversaries include various races vying for territory: orcs, trolls, goblins, lizardmen, beastmen, and most notably, thedemon race, which currently dominates much of Thalvoria. The demons relentlessly seek to exterminate humans and claim the entire planet. Meanwhile, dragons and wyverns reside atop towering mountains stretching across both sides of the landmass. They remain neutral, as long as others respect their territory.

Liora's life changes forever whenElowen Verdantia, an envoy of theSix Great Mages, visits her kingdom. Carrying the Starlight Staff, Elowen travels from one human-ruled kingdom to another, auditioning mages to find a prophesied savior—a beacon of hope and pivotal figure in humanity's resistance against the demon race. That person is none other than Liora Belle. Recognized by theStarlight Staff, a relic of theTen Saints, Liora gains access to divine powers bestowed upon humanity. These powers allow her to summonAncient Beasts, formidable creatures whose strength once led to the Ten Saints' victory over the demons. However, gaining this power requires Liora to undergo trials set by the Ancient Beasts, teaching her to wield their abilities wisely.

Liora must transform herself—not to become cruel but to grow wiser. She needs to shed her naivety, temper her gentleness temporarily, and adopt a firmer stance in punishing or eliminating her foes. By enduring these trials, she aims to acquire the strength necessary for humanity’s struggle. Her ultimate goal, unattainable even by the Ten Saints, is humanity’s total victory—eradicating the demon race forever so humans can live happily and peacefully on Thalvoria. With help from Elowen and Cedric Ironhelm—the last heir to the Ironhelm throne who will later become her love interest—and the powers of the Ancient Beasts, Liora will shed tears, sweat, and blood, fighting valiantly to overcome her enemies.
