Description

She saved his life for the darkest.

Having long harbored aspirations of releasing his own documentary and making his way as a reputable reporter, Morris Durham has little to show for his fifteen years working as a cameraman under four directors - all of whom left him with less than what he gave and haggled his name down to just another invisible background crewman.

Things suddenly take a turn for the strange when a genuine superhero makes her debut in the USA; a shadowy guardian angel with a flowing white cape and luminous silver eyes that seem to bore into the souls of those who meet her gaze, flying through the air in all parts of the country saving lives and stopping crimes - her presence accompanied by a shower of purple embers which fall from the sky after sundown.

It’s during one such night at the lowest point in his life that Morris falls into the welcoming arms of this mysterious massiah - Obsidian Luna of the planet S’ton - and soon finds himself descending down a rabbit hole of obsession and ambition as she becomes the center of his world and he becomes the target of her growing list of superpowered arch-villains.

Inspired by such works asWatchmenandThe Boysby Alan Moore and Garth Ennis respectively,Obsidian Lunaaims to subvert the superhero concept in a way that explores their impact on those whose lives they touch - giving a sense of hope and security in a world that desperately craves both and is willing to sacrifice almost anything, and anyone, to know that a better tomorrow is waiting for them.
