Description

Four teenagers of varying views, brain structures, and arguably connection to reality are pulled into a world unfamiliar to them; forced to band together for survival and a chance to get home, what will they learn of themselves and each other, how will they change, and how will they get through the forces laid out against them? Fae lords with enigmatic but undoubtedly fell intentions, demons offering whatever they wish in exchange for their soul, and the other inhabitants - and travelers to - this world all await, ready to tear the team apart.

Ethan tries very hard to be friendly, competent, and approachable as he imitates the 'normal' people, but never quite gets there; Emily believes she knows best for everyone, all the time; Andrew is imaginative, unfocused, and nearly entirely disconnected from caring about reality and other people, to the point he isn't sure he even wants to get home from this 'adventure'; John is a chaotic mix of feelings, inferiority and superiority complexes swirling around inside of him, and he tries to cope with an obsession with race.

Can Ethan learn to act like others when necessary, or accept that he simply processes things differently, or both? Can Emily learn to think more highly of others and take them into account without losing her confidence? Can Andrew learn to enjoy the moment he's living in, to care for the people he's experiencing it with, and pull himself out of his head? Can John discard his prejudices and accept who he and others are without needing to classify them?
