Description

The world is finally beginning to rebound from its decade-old apocalyptic scars, and two girls will have to make their way through it. One girl, originally from faraway rural lands, has been kidnapped as part of a world-spanning geopolitical deal. The other, Skye Thales, is quasi-royalty from the technocratic fortress mountain city of "Sanctrum," originally founded by scientists and technical professionals turned guerrillas. The city teems with rising nationalist and irredentist sentiment while surrounded by the bandit territory of the ruins of the Soviet Empire and the destroyed toxic city of Thrax.

In a genre of what can be roughly called "alt-earth", Neueland features heavy themes of politics, history, geography, and authentic details about equipment that all pull from real life but with the freedom of imaginative spins on them. These are the hammers that will forge the characters through their personal struggles.

The inspiration seriously runs from Soviet and Kurdish history to Anime such as Girl's Last Tour, Kino's Journey, and Legend of the Galactic Heroes, lol.

Prone to rewrites and revisions, this is very much a work-in-progress that I hope to make overall cohesive. The first chapter is the bit I am not the happiest with. Will very much appreciate feedback and criticism!
