Imagine if Isaac Asimov wrote dungeon core stories. This has some classic sci-fi vibes. An alien computer invades, but even as it remakes the world, it is remade in the process. Seriously the best thing I have read in ages, I just wish I was clever enough to write the review it deserves.

The Golemancer is a true idealist with only a few guiding principles that it cherishes in its magimechanical life:
    Survive and kill everything else.
This story features a form of captivating origin story for both Systems and intelligent dungeon cores, though the very limited Artificial General Intelligence finds that due to big changes in its new universe compared to its training environment,  it has a lot of learning and adapting that it's very reluctant to do.

I really like the tone of magic that Golemancer itself sets up and how it's more of documenting the seeds of a paradigm shift that's starting up in the world. As for characters, I can't judge any of them for being way too bad or good, but I like Golemancer's narration enough over that. Watching the thing gives the feeling of someone operating on Newtonian mechanics getting errors from relativistic anomalies.

This novel is all i could ever have asked for!
No, really! I didnt even know I NEEDED to read about some murder-hobo AI sent from an earth-like world where literally skynet won its war against humans and was unleashed upon a world of magic and dungeon cores in the form of a latter construct. It's just fascinating, seeing the AI figure out the world with inhuman experiments, feeling no mercy and only satisfaction in its ever increasing efficiency and growth.
At the same time, every other chapter is focused on a group of humans who had the unfortunate fate of encountering such AI, called Golemancer. They manage to capture one of its early flesh puppets and learn the extent of the threat, all the while the golemancer goes on its merry slaughter spree and keeps spreading through the land.
Man do I want more! It's addicting in the true sense of the word, like the best distilled piece of Gamelit fiction while retaining quality and intrigue beyond the standard of the genre. It's novel and challenging, filled with geek talk that tickles my brain just right, filled with hatred for the filthy organics and man, do i love seeing both perspectives of the fight. It just makes it so much more interesting in my opinion.
the flow of the story is impeccable, with a shift in tone that matches whether we are reading a human-centric chapter or a golemancer chapter. The scorn in the narrator's voice is palpable when we read about the golemancer, while the humanity of the larger than average cast of humans shines through even in their limite screen time.
    bravo author!

I love a good story about an inhumane monster trying to eradicate humanity. And this delivered, great story and overall plot. I loved having humanity's point of view in this war. It honestly made the [Golemancer] look cooler. Another great part is the character building. This part was extremely well done I loved the characters. They had great and deep personalities, they were unique and fun to read about. You only get a few though, the only one-time characters I remember talking were two to three generals/kings. This isn't a bad thing though I have no problem with it and I only noticed after I finished the book. Plus the characters you do get are so good you don't need anyone else. Okay now on to the [Golemancer] all around great, a magical super AI orb. This guy is my favorite part, all the creative things he comes up with to purge all organics are fun to read about, he makes so many great things each stronger than the last. Every time I'm on the edge of my seat wondering how could they possibly beat this. Every battle is incredibly entertaining leaves me excited for the next. Overall eleven out of five stars. will read again. And if you enjoy this you will also enjoy tenebroum another great story by the same author.

    Interesting villain.
    Characters that have depth.
Well though out system (and non system) elements.
Its not super clear yet if the AI MC is truly sentient or just an asshole because it's following its directives. Although it may be the best of both worlds - in my opinion: it's truly sentient and it simply disregards anything that doesn't follow its main directives. It's and asshole not because it is unable to care, but because it cares about its directives over any other thing.

A real gem, the world of  Golemancer is a rich and diverse one, you have systems, rouge systems, heroes, and much more! Each with its own story, each unique.
This story puts a twist on all the usual tropes that are normally used in dungeon core novels, everything is different from the very beginning.
GRAMMER- [10/10] Not a native English speaker so yeah, have no right to judge plus I didn't notice any flaws.
STYLE-Reading this story gave me a sci-fi/fantasy feel, both elements were mashed together properly and both relied on each other to work in perfect harmony which is something I love because science+ magic, who doesn't love that?
CHARACTER- The mc is a Killer AI, in every sense of the word, he behaves like one and acts like one all the way, Mr. DWinchester has a talent for writing truly villainous protagonists with depth and character to them and I particularly enjoy this one.
STORY-Well, the story is actually two stories in one, one about heroes defending their home and one about a certain AI that wants to do a certain something,  both are written wonderfully and tie into each other masterfully, the pacing is just right and the world they live in is gritty and realistic so there are quite a few twists and turns that happened to both parties that make the story even more interesting.
Overall- [10/10] I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to read a  real dungeon core story that is both fun and realistic.

This story is truly exceptional, showcasing a captivating villain protagonist and a one-of-a-kind plot. The author's skill in creating innovative ideas is evident in this tale of a malevolent AI manipulating cores and controlling individuals. The fusion of real-world science and fantasy elements adds an intriguing dimension to the story, providing a fresh and thrilling take on the traditional dungeon core concept. In addition to its originality, the author's writing is impeccable, with minimal grammar errors and a captivating style. As someone who has enjoyed the author's previous works and appreciates their creativity, I wholeheartedly recommend this story to fans of villain protagonists and dungeon core enthusiasts alike. It is a must-read for anyone looking for a truly unique and immersive reading experience.

Great story with quite a few flaws. Characters aren't the best, the mc seems a bit too murder focused and some questions are never answered. But it's enjoyable to read
