To folk like me, it's a major selling point as I like knowing about the nitty-gritty, but if you don't want your MC to be at level 10 by chapter 173, DO NOT READ. But if you have the patience to stick it through, you'll get to experience great scenes such as a bunny beating up a fox and a tribe of animal headed goblins trying to escape the status of being a monster.

STORY: journey that beggetts you to continue reading "one more chapter". I espesially liked that IRL part was not forgotten. This is not some brain crushing puzzle, this is a blockbuster style book you read for fun and daily dose of guiltfree enjoyment.
GRAMMAR: some missed words here and there, but nothing atrocious for grammar sence.
CHARACTER: nice characters who you believe to be the result of experience they went though.

Of course i understand that his short-term goal is to get stronger but what about after that? I believe the charcter's motivations and goals should be more fleshed out and explained.
I also wish that his backstory which was used as a throwaway to make him used to culivation and the like, to influence him a bit more in the choices he makes or at least has something to do with his personality as it is just used and thrown away.
Other than that I enjoy the charcters and the grammers fine too, I do especially like the level of detail you go into while describing the surroundings.
Nice job :) - Sherbert_loverRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0I am giving a 4/5 becuase I really like how the story is going, the storyline is solid, characters feel alive, so on and so forth it has most the things a good story needs.
There are a couple noticable problems though. The first one is Grammer is a little off but gets better as the story advances. The 2nd one is the info dumps are a bit much, but there ok. The third one is the story is definitely advancing at a nice pace it just doesn't feel like it with how much the character is developing in things only tangibly related to the RPG system. But overall I really liked what I read. - jan SatoRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0The style is awesome, it has a nice in depth feel. I love a good world with lots of detail. Sometimes it does kinda get bogged down in the details, but amusingly enough, even the characters seem to realize this and interject here and there. Makes it fun to read into the details without getting to far into it, I think that you could even play with this idea a bit more.
The story itself has an awesome concept! I love the nice mix of science / sci-fi and magic explanations, checks all my favorite boxes. I'm excited to see what comes next (I'm only on chapter 17 -_-"), and I'm ready to learn even more about the world our characters find themselves in.
The characters though, sometimes do feel a little disconnected (which is funny considering Doyle had 0 karma). I want to be more connected to them but they don't quite have enough motivation. So far Doyle does what he does, basically because Ally tells him to or just cause he can. Having a common goal for characters helps bring both them and the reader together.
The grammar is a little bad, I'll be upfront. But it is small enough that you can still reasonably read it. Just makes it take a bit longer. Things like typos here, missing commas there, replaced / missing words sprinkled throughout. Though when reading aloud, it does feel more natural, so perhaps you write while speaking your writing. Which works great! But it does help to go back through and try and read without talking to make sure that peoples inner monologues won't get too tripped up.
Overall, its an amazing story so far and I'm excited to continue reading! Good luck with your writing, and I'm glad you could share your story with us. - McQueenSerialFantasyRoyal Road★★★★ 3.5There's quite a bit here to go over.
I'll start with the style. The story is written in the third-person present tense. As a rule, the present tense often makes for a poor medium of composition unless the writer is aiming for an extremely emotional and personal feel, which this story does not intend. It also locks the reader into the stream of consciousness of the perspective character and the elements of their immediate surroundings, which severely limits one's ability to get a feel for the wider world. This creates particularly acute problems in a fictitious world, as the reader is utterly dependent on the story for an explanation of how things work. Neorealm manages to overcome these complications, but at a huge cost. A great deal of the main character's mental real-estate is consumed explaining the world and its mechanics, leaving little room for introspection, emotional reflection, or internal character development.
The game-based elements are handled pretty well. The text boxes are large but they're well formatted, and the author does his best to avoid burying the reader in statistics. Early on in the story the action was cluttered with combat numbers, but the author made the wise decision a little later to remove them, and did so deftly without disrupting the story.
On the subject of the story: the foundation is solid. The author clearly has a huge world in mind, and the level of detail comes through both clearly and beautifully, although the mechanical explanations of certain plot elements can sometimes get a little dense. Sometimes an ounce of artistry is worth a pound of exposition. It's also worth notinng that the story suffers from the lack of a clear antagonist. The protagonit's short-run quest is original, creative, and does a reasonable job of maintaining the reader's interest, but without some kind of over-arching goal in mind, eventually the desire to keep reading wears thin. An earlier introduction to supporting characters might help correct this p - MATRRoyal Road★★★★ 3.5Solid potential and a great story, but it suffers from being way too SLOW.
Also the fact that you get info dumped way too much with stuff that you don't even need to know about.
The grammar is great and doesn't get in the way much, but sometimes it becomes a little annoying when you don't know what it meant because the grammar just sucked.
Characters work well with the story and are not two dimensional, but they do suffer from being erratic and unique in a bad way.
Main point is that the story is very slow and will stay in place for 3 chapters sometimes, it gets to the point where you can skip half a chapter or a whole chapter and still not miss a thing while also seemingly be in the same place. - vkg313Royal Road★★★ 3.0Honestly started out well, but slowed down to a crawl, to the point where he is describing various POVs of the creatures around the character more than progressing the story itself. It got old fast.
Has a lot of potential, but reader gets exhausted by the overall lack of plot and info dumps.
Otherwise, well written and rare grammatical errors - librarysmilesRoyal Road★★★ 3.0This story is like bread; bland. It's something to read while waiting for other spicy insides to update to make a reading sandwich. Best read/eaten with something else and if you like young adult adventure stories.
The Main Character is NOT overpowered at all. I mean, on chapter 137 he's pretty much at the point Weed on Royal Road was at the beginning.
Not saying it's bad, it's just a slower adventure. The pacing is like a slice-of-life.
I've continued to periodically check on this for over a year now, and was hesitant to say something, but here's the review! - Hoang7324Royal Road★★★ 2.5A Xianxan person who is reincarnated into a modern society that revolves around living in VR. His past life of Xianxan is pretty much pointless doesn't offer anything to the story. The story is your average story about growth of a person who has trouble with working with others. However, he somehow works amazing well with others, but the story constantly mention how he's incapable of socializing. The story is is very slow. And the story his him being in VR game so sometimes logic and plot holes are solve by saying it's the game system.
