So he decides to change it.

- ThePhoenix94Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0Only one chapter so far, but it looks incredibly intruiging! I love the twist on the classic Cultivation theme, its really a breath of fresh air in-between all the other Cultivation novels. A mediocre cultivator who is determined to continue climbing. I'm really looking forward to how this turns out!
- Alt41Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0As the title implies, I'm loving this novel, the concept is fresh and interesting. And me being so done with evil and bloodthirsty MCs, it was a breath of fresh air. I'm looking forward to seeing how a cultivator who wants to change the world for the best is going to do so, and his and his sect's journey~~
Style: easy to follow and enjoyable, I had no problem at all following what was happening or understanding what was being said in the few chapters where there was a bit of info dump, which was well done and not tiring.
Story: what can I say, I'm loving it. I've stopped reading cultivation novels for a while now, honestly, not a lot of them are that good and once they lose their novelty you would rarely stomach them. This one is different though, the biggest difference this novel has over many others is how the mc is already strong, probably the strongest in his area, and the second is how he's trying to use that strength to improve the world, to lead it to civilisation. I'm looking forward to what's coming and the trouble he's going to face to achieve his goals, and how he's going to do so.
Grammar: not much to be said, saw no mistakes and had no problems with it~
Characters: the Mc is likeable and his character is distinct, with clear goals that he's working towards, till now he's the only character the author is focused on and that's alright as he's the centre of all that is happening and the plot~
Anyway, that's all for me, I'm really looking forward to what's coming in the novel and I've already followed and favourited it. I recommend it to those that are fed up with the genre and the bloodthirsty MCs that fill it~ and finally, a big thank you to the author for their hard work~ keep it up and good luck~🎉🎉🎉 - BullerRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I don't read much of this because, frankly, I hate the moral rules that the characters usually have. Their way of thinking just feels incredibly dumb and takes me out of a story faster than a and it just stops me from actually appreciating what this part of fiction actually has to offer.
Is most of it terrible? Yes. Is this fiction terrible? No. It's great. Greater than most of the stuff I've read. With a premise that actually makes me not hate it, I can't say there is anything I hate. Style is great. Grammar doesn't have obvious errors. Characters are perfect.
5/5 - Content loverRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Well i have lot to tell but i fear spoiling you out of excitement so here are the some things that can help you make up your mind to read it
1. The mc when he remembers his previous live doesn't change his personality he made over two centuries but instead gets a new perspective to look at things he did and will do
2. The mc is realistic he wants to bring to changes to mortals and cultivators alike and he doesn't mind the methods needed to be used in a world where personal strength is revered
3. I also really like how mc doesn't make earth look like utopia but instead acknowledges the difference between both civilization and has used many logical points to show why things are the way they are
4. And he isn't aiming for true equality as that is a fantasy even in a fantasy world he is aiming for A realistic version of it read to find out more
5. So all in all he isn't an unfeeling machine but neither is he a softhearted instead he is a powerful strongwilled cultivator who has seen both ends of world as a mortal and as a cultivator and as he has seen an whole another world a wider perspective
I can't think of any more if these many good reasons aren't enough to hook you in though i would implore you read first 5-10 ch atleast and i swear by my honour as an novel addict you will be hooked unless ofcourse this isn't your type of story
ANYWAYS YOU HACE TO READ IT DAMN IT - Darath69Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0Very likeable main character, that believes in justice. He wants to bring modern improvements to the cultivation era and will use his strength and position to do so.
I like how the story contrasts his past soul and current souls perspective on each situation. I'm looking forward to what comes next - ExtragearRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I have read most of the well regarded and some not so well regarded cultivation/progression novels including reverend insanity, lord of mysteries, primordial blood, etc and this is definately at the same league. What the fuck did you just fucking say about me, you little bitch? I'll have you know I graduated top of my class in the Navy Seals, and I've been involved in numerous secret raids on Al-Quaeda, and I have over 300 confirmed kills. I am trained in gorilla warfare and I'm the top sniper in the entire US armed forces. You are nothing to me but just another target. I will wipe you the fuck out with precision the likes of which has never been seen before on this Earth, mark my fucking words. You think you can get away with saying that shit to me over the Internet? Think again, fucker. As we speak I am contacting my secret network of spies across the USA and your IP is being traced right now so you better prepare for the storm, maggot. The storm that wipes out the pathetic little thing you call your life. You're fucking dead, kid. I can be anywhere, anytime, and I can kill you in over seven hundred ways, and that's just with my bare hands. Not only am I extensively trained in unarmed combat, but I have access to the entire arsenal of the United States Marine Corps and I will use it to its full extent to wipe your miserable ass off the face of the continent, you little shit. If only you could have known what unholy retribution your little "clever" comment was about to bring down upon you, maybe you would have held your fucking tongue. But you couldn't, you didn't, and now you're paying the price, you goddamn idiot. I will shit fury all over you and you will drown in it. You're fucking dead, kiddo.
One of the best thing is, you start realizing and asking some things in cultivation novels that we have taken granted. It has action but it also has a very interesting plot or theme. Author, love you for writing this.
To pad out the review for 200, words, hello world hell - dragon723Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0It is fairly wellwritten thus far and i've quiltet enjoyed a more thoughtful Xianxi story that doesn't involve the MC apolgizing every page.
I especially liked that the MC had no boring cheats and instead had to put in effort every step on his Journey towards patriark. Even with his overwhelming power there are still things he cant do, due to politics which feels pretty realistisk. - a lofty readerRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0i really like the world building and the new prepective to the cultivators civilization and the way to modernize it but i hope the novel doesn't drop like the other auther novel and i am waiting for book 2 and i hope to see the reaction of the mortals and cultivators when mortals have breakthrough in tech
- KerberosRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Overall- Thus far I am very much enjoying this novel. The idea behind it is something that I haven't read before... which is a pretty rare find. An old Cultivation Tyrant trying to modernize the world? Count me in!
Style- I like the way this is written. It has a very unique mix of Eastern and Western elements within the sentence structure. Descriptions are thrown into the Eastern style short paragraphs while deep thoughts or actions are typically your usual four to five sentence paragraphs that are seen in Western novels. Though you wouldn't think that this would fit well, it reads smoothly.
Story- As of right now, I am enjoying the story and can see how Yao Shen will both awe his peers with the introduction of modern ideals, as well as draw the ire of the other sects and his own sect disciples who won't agree with him. I feel that this novel will be wrought with conflict, and there will be plenty to write about to give the readers a nice, lengthy story with a lot of meat.
Grammar Score- Enigma is a great writer. His sentences are clean and easy to follow. I don't really have much to say here. It reads a bit like a young adult fiction; not many words will have to be looked up unless you are unfamiliar with Cultivation.
Character Score- Yao Shen is an interesting character. The story is thus too short for me to judge his growth, but his shifting mindset between what he has been living through for his lifetime, versus what he experienced in his previous life, gives an interesting take to his character. I am looking forward to seeing how he develops, and whether he decides to merge the cultures of the two worlds, or tries to flat out bring modernization.
Really enjoying this and can't wait to read the next chapter! The only somewhat negative thing that I have to say is that the starting chapters will be very difficult for a reader who has never been introduced to Cultivation, as it drops you straight into a "Breakthrough" (Those who have read Cultivation know what I me - KwayzyRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I loved the premise of this, and it hits all the beats I wanted from the genre. Read through this previously and just caught up on what I'd missed. A great hit that I'm late to the part for, but well worth the time now that I'm here. Can't really say anything the other review haven't already went over eloquently, so give them a look then try it for yourself. :D
