Description

In a world seeped in magic, where humans live behind a curtain of mountains and hope to avoid the prowling beasts, a ritual is taking place.

The tithe, in which the fortress of Blightstone offers a selection of their own people to the visiting orcs in order to bind their people closer together.

But this tithe is special.

This time Nickolas, a War Mage of rare talent, and the son of the Warden of Blightstone herself is taking part.

As is Necun, the orc Hunter who fell for the Mage at first sight.

And in the darkness, the two shall share their vows.

Join the pair as they venture into the unknown dangers of the world, relying on each other as they face beast and politics, horror and adventure. And see if their vows are strong enough to survive in this harsh world.

Book one: Vows if finished! Stay tuned for my other work, and for the announcement of book two.

Really enjoyed this story, it's rare to find a gender swapped society with reverse sexism with a male MC. The balance between action, romance and 18+ scenes is really good. My main concern is whether or not this will become a full polygamy or reverse harem. I'm not interested in seeing Nickolas beeing green hatted even if he consents to it himself. But based on book 1 I believe that shouldn't be a problem in orc society. Looking forward to book 2!

As a vocal critic of mainstream incel culture and the like, this fiction feels like a great representation of what makes normalized gender hierarchy stupid. By flipping the script, it calls attention to the vast amount of everyday unfairness of having a 'leader' and 'follower' sex. It shows how much work that we still have left to do before true gender equality can be achieved. Very good fiction, read it.

Really enjoy the world building, the characters and the romance and of course, the spicy parts. Can't wait for more! A good use of matriarchal society in the genre that doesn't feel unbelievable or like misery porn for the male characters. The magic system is also very cool. I'd love to see even more of the world and dive deeper into its lore and magic.

Although this is only the first chapter, it has an incredible flow and smooth transitions, especially for a first published story. I'm incredibly invested due to the vivid imagery and captivating world setting. I'm interested in seeing more of where Necun and Nickolas end up and I'm fascinated by what will be happening later. Thank you.

Reverse sexual morality stories are pretty rare, and rarely done well.
So far it has a strong/unique plot that has been able to hold my attention.
I personally would like if the nsfw chapters included more plot progression.
The weak point so far is the book cover, which is a possitive as far as the writing goes.
I would include RSM and reverse gender roles in the description so people know what they're getting into or have an easier time finding the story.
It has potential. We shall see where it goes.

This story has a weird twist to it.  It is a traditional fantasy setting, but the women hold the power and the men are more caretakers and homebodies.  This is not the first story I've read like this, but it is the first one to take it to such extremes that the males and females are basically acting like their stereotypical opposites.  So much so, that I think if it wasn't swapped like this, I would personally dislike the female characters for being window dressing or having little agency.
As far as the actual plot and characters go, they are pretty interesting and well written.  The grammar is good, and the descriptions are vivid.  The pacing is also on point.  On a traditional review of the aspects of this story, it's one of the best on this site.  I just have some hang ups about the twist on the world building.
There is really no purpose to swapping the gender roles here.  There isn't anything interesting being explored here about what happens with the male female dynamic when you change the power structures.  You could just swap all the pronouns from masculine to feminine and vice versa, and there would be no difference whatsoever.
If the premise sounds interesting to you, then I would highly recommend it, but it just wasn't engaging to me
