Laien is a story about an ant, of the anime/cartoonish type that is capable of wielding weapons and has the power of a system. The prose is too simple, and most paragraphs are one-three sentences which makes the dialogue (and its unusual way of portraying it) all the more obvious as having the work having a strange feeling of pace. It doesn't have any strong framing and almost no introspection. What memories come back? What did Laien know to do? This pierces the veil and gets into a character's head, but the author doesn't explain and then just slips into observation. This is not wrong, but to tease such thoughts made me aware of how much better it would be to understand Laien's thoughts.
