Theo is a rugged mountain of a man who just wanted to camp and take his mind off work.Julia is a slight woman who spent one last weekend with her best friend before confronting her.They both decided to go for a hike and see a beautiful sunrise.Now, they are stuck thousands of miles from anyone else and have to work together to survive in an ever-changing environment filled with powers, creatures, and the ever-present opportunity for romance.What to Expect:TLDR:System Apocalypse, homesteading, base building, slice-of-life, romance, slow burn, Soft LitRPG elements, and regular humans dealing with a new world.Long Version:Homestead Survival is a slow-burning story following Theo and Julia on their adventures in a new and changed world with a focus on their relationship, building up their base of operations, and adapting to the new System that is changing the world. This world has stats and skills, which will be described, but the story is the focus, with less emphasis on the hard crunch of numbers. I know that this was for a Write-a-thon, but that being said this is a fantastic story! The main characters are relatable as well as not over powered. I really appreciate that there is more than one main character, which adds to the diversity.The story is still young right now, but the author seems to have a really good idea as to where they are taking us. I really like the breakaways that they use to add to the drama of the story. I do wish that the chapters were a bit longer, but honestly that is just because I am really into the story!The author has some minor grammatical errors on occasion, however they respond kindly when corrections are suggested. I honestly think that was more during the Write-a-thon period than anything after.If I had a complaint about any of the characters, it is with Julia. Given the situation most people would need more time to adjust to their surroundings and would have a harder time trusting someone that they just met. Julia was behaving that was, but then did an abrupt shift where she trusts her partner seemingly completely. I feel like this is a bit unrealistic. Honestly, this concern is so minor, but figured I should share it anyways.So, in conclusion, this is a fantastic story that I can’t get enough of! Definitely I would suggest reading it!!

Overall, very enjoyable story with a not too self-serious tone. It focuses on the two main characters character, with occasional perspective switching between them, them together, or to other side characters. The perspective changes are not annoying and I found myself favoring both characters equally as opposed to preferring the perspective of just one. Likely due to how the support of told. Like I said at the beginning, fun story, I enjoyed it, you’ll probably enjoy it.

To me and I think most writers the past tense sounds and flows better. Just my opinion but reading present tense messes with my reading of the story.

Really like this story. It is nice take on a world being inducted in to a system. It is not the usual solo, everything is out to kill you integration like others. It has social dynamics that usually are not seen in stories like this. Definitely worth the 5 star review that gave it.

A unique take on a Litpocalypse story.
Why is that? Well this is the first one I've seen which really leans in on the idea of a powerful protagonist(s) being exceptional for the connections they make. Don't get me wrong they are strong as well, but I love how much the story focuses on the networking aspect.
Additionally you clearly are taking your time with the romance and I am for it. All too often I see stories where the pacing is far too fast, especially in early chapters. You have avoided this while not leaving me annoyed at the lack of romantic progress.
Overall Score 4.9. Thank you for the story.

Honestly, the best thing about this so far is that the main characters are intrigueing, non stupid, and thoughtful. It's a breath of fresh air in this genre, which is normally filled with stupid, one track minded goobers who don't think their way out of problems. Which is what your pair has done in more then one way. As long as this continues in this vein, it will be a contender for one of the best!

Reading this story initially was great! But like lots of stories on this site and others it starts to lose steam quickly.
The authors writes a good system story and relationship with the main characters. However there are a fair amount of edits needing to be made, and sub plots that come and go.
While I really like the story, personally it has the feeling that the author hasn't thought out the story fully (evident by polls asking about changing some core structures). Which leads to many readers asking about what happened to this plot, item, etc.
One little nitpick is the chapters started longer, and has gotten shorter after time.
