Description
In a world lit by nine moons and shadowed by cosmic omens, the Menschen—creatures infused with raw magic—face an impossible choice: remain on the Great Continent, sharing their knowledge of magic with the unmagical at the risk of extinction, or retreat to their homeland of Ormgrund in the Great Exodus.
ForYeso SternachtandNoctavia, two Menschen bound by a cursed hex of love and shared destiny, abandoning humanity’s fate is unthinkable.
As conflicts brew among humans, faeries, and centaurs, and alliances splinter with the awakening of ancient Spirits, Yeso struggles to mediate between rival kings, protect the endangered centaur homeland of Moonbay, and master the volatile power of the Sun Spirit. All the while, adeeperthreat looms—theEnd of Timeitself.
Yet, there is hope. A young human,Xendrix, seeks to learn the forbidden art of Alchemy, potentially becoming the bridge between Menschen and humanity. But will his efforts be enough to unite a fractured world before the final curtain falls?
Hexeis not just their story; it is a chronicle of all creatures, from the Great Continent to Ormgrund, as they face the End of Time—again. (Also, there is a peculiar Time Traveller and a lot of spiders.)

- LightningShadow7Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0Only read five chapters so far but I am really loving the story so far. There's an interesting mystery being hinted at with the human kid which I particularly like. I'm also enjoying the style of writing which is more reminiscent of pure fantasy stories. The involvement of politics in trying to convince two warring kingdoms to stop is an intriguing choice too. Overall, looks like the story is absolutely going in an engaging direction and I would definitely recommend this to people who enjoy high fantasy type stories.
- Mr.MyxplyxRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Overall, I love this story, it has a great premise and sticks to its world building very closely. It has to, for its various inter-connecting lines to work together. It's a good story, simply put.
Style
It's style is very distinct. But not badly so. The small bits of lore, written in as foot notes and definitions give it a almost acedeimic paper-like style. And with our main narrator being a professor, it makes sense.
Story
This is a story defined by its setup. It's setup was phenomenal, with a great hook, and establishment of what is truly going on. The initial book is truly the prolog of what comes next. And oh boy if you like piecing together what is going on, you will like this. Time being malleable by both our protagonist and antagonist is important to realize.
Grammar
The grammer is good. Only a few obvious mistakes, and unless you go over with a fine tooth comb (or a deep knowledge on the subject), most will read it similarly. It reads like prose, where lines and story flow into each other. It is only in the later chapters where it's feels slight stilted, although with how awkward teenagers are, that might be on purpose.
Characters
This is the one complaint I have, where side characters are important inside of the small footnotes and notes of the story. But in-story feel like they are just beginning their own stories. This obviously doesn't happen to the protagonist or the characters surrounding them, inly to a few people. I truly hope throughout the next few books we will see those same charcaters come in and out of the story, so they mix into the inevitable conflict that this entire conflict is set around. The antagonist is an inevitable force, and we have to figure out how to beat them at their own game, because when playing with time, the only winner is the one that finds a way to consistently gain the upper hand.
I love this story, and I hope you will too
