I have a love hate relationship with Hail Thy Gods. On the one hand, it's an absolutely amazing story filled with elements of loyalty, betrayal, sacrifice, and the will to defy ones fate. This so good, and it's even better if your a red rising fan.
On the other hand I'VE ALREADY READ THE ENTIRE BOOK AFTER ONLY A DAY OR TWO! So I now have too patiently wait for chapters to come (which author is very consistent with).
My lack of patience aside, it's an amazing read and I couldn't recommend it more.

This story is absolutely fascinating and refreshingly original. The world-building is rich and immersive, pulling you in right from the start. What really stands out, though, are the characters—they’re not just placeholders in the plot; they have distinct personalities and motivations that make them feel real. Every interaction is meaningful, and the dialogue is sharp and full of wit. It’s one of those stories where you can’t help but root for (or against) everyone involved.

I really like this story. The world is harsh, but interesting.
A good look at what it is like to be at the bottom of the bottom.
I like the characters, they all manage to feel real, their decisions make sense. I like the conflict, it feels natural and not forced.
No progression yet, but the story is early.
The writing is a bit heavier than normal for RR, so it's not exactly a popcorn story. I'm still having a good time though, give it a try.

This is probably my favourite example of a Unique Cultivation- Progression Novel that I have found. The characters are interesting, the Protagonist is likable, and not immediately overpowered. The scale is kept small in the beginning and the progression is slow. It doesn't bombard you with the universe at large and all the powers from the beginning.  World building is top-tier, very in-depth and highly creative. The society  at large having its own rigid system, laws, and taboos. The writing is highly skilled, painting a very detailed highly engrossing sword and sorcery epic in a high/hard science-fantasy Cultivation Space Epic

Probably one of the best novels on RR right now. The way it tugs at our emotions and creates scenarios is absolutely amazing.Fight sequence are good and feels natural. The world building is also up to the mark as it is revealed to us as we keep reading the story. All in all it has the makings of a great novel and I hope the author keeps writing and get success.

    Read it!
There is no easing into this story. So strap in and be prepared to read until there are no more chapters left, leaving you praying for more.
You are thrust straight into the action, with fighting, tension, clan politics and a mysterious power system, all rolled together in the opening chapters.
The characters are so well written that you can connect with them easily, immersing yourself in the story. They’ll really come to life.
Oh, and I forgot to mention that there’s even a unique language! It gives the story that little  extra spice you didn’t even know you were missing. Hats off to Godric for that.
If that doesn’t pique your interest then I’m not sure what will.
The author has put so much effort into making this story great and it shows. It is definitely one of the most well written stories that I’ve come across on RR. It will be one of the few stories where I eagerly await the release of the next chapter.
This is just for the advanced review categories:
    Style:
So far I’m enjoying how the story flows together. There have been no obvious flaws to the structure of the writing or abrupt shifts  of PoV.
    Story:
Absolutely love the world building so far, the tidbits of knowledge about the world outside the clan are well done and add interest. The fights are really well done and you feel like you’re a part of them when reading.
    Character:
Kalon is amazing and is really brought to life by the story. Even the surrounding characters of Arrum, Nevari, Nekam, Keno and Barnak are lifelike without as much interaction. You can feel the brotherly love, respect and hate between them.
    Grammar:
No grammar mistakes that I could find while reading. Well written
Godric has said that there are roughly 3 books of backlog so don’t worry about your new book of choice running out anytime soon.
If you’re still reading this review, I hope it helped you decide whether this book was the one for you. Now get reading —>📕📖

The author's writing is some of the most professional writing I've ever read, and not in a scholarly, disconnected way. It is written in a way that I am able to place myself into the character's shoes and understand what is happening and HOW that makes Kalon feel. Incredible story.

For me this is best ongoing novel on royal road, from charachters to story and grammar, author even bothered to make up language for the novel, our mc is not naive at least not that much?,there alwaya room for improvement, side charachters feel alive and not 1 dimensional,i especially like pov of other charachter which just bring so much more depth to story.seeing their inner though is just amazing cant wait to see nakam pov what his thoughs where while he did things he did, dont want to spoil it,lets get back to our mc,kuwathi are lowely race that gotta get scraps so they can sustain themselfs even among them there distincion, betwen those in inner city and those outside of it,our mc is memeber of outside of inner city so he alr in the lowest position possible what doesnt help is that even in his already low clan his position is the lowest possible one ulima as the author calls them or forsaken,no one cares for ulimas which author showed spectacularly i cant wait to see how kalon will get out of his situation which book 1 end i think its perfect time to read if u want to read actual high quality work.

Great cast of characters, a vast mysterious world, a new culture with internal politics and clashes, a main character you can root for, side characters each with their own goals, ambition and world view. The author has done an amazing job with this story. We do have a bit too many dumb young masters, I would like some other capable men around MC's age apart from just MC and his best friend, but regardless one of the best works I have read on RR imo. Definitely recommended.

hello everyone! now first of all i believe the best part of this story is characters and drama and their development it is so well written and thought out that i think we can make a great movie or even a series from it that will be worth watching many times over. i see almost no grammar issues and vocabulary used is just superb best of all is the fact that different characters have their own thought style let's call it and different levels of depth of thought education situations and world views show like the different POV s are actually different not just a simple way so the author can progress the story.
i see a lot of xianxa like elements and the progression of the protag is a bit non existence as in he is too busy and weak to really progress so at least in book one you won't see a lot of progression. don't expect OP MC but expect a rational and strong person that has emotions and is not a robot-like game character. the interactions are amazing and engaging . over all one of the best novels of RR and i believe it will be published to even hard copy and may be get famous some day.
the book 1 : ulima was more of a prologue to the main story and an introduction as these stories usually go our protag must be outside the bounds of family to focus on him self to grow strong as i suspect he will be getting here and as is in real life too mostly .
the space opera and technology is there mostly a post apocalyptic way and not advanced. it is a sad world they live in. a bit of grim dark story.
the only critic i can say is the pacing of the story and the events, while it was not every chapter one event it was like cut scenes of a game or a movie rather than a novel. it is good engaging and the fast progress of the story is fun. but i feel like there are a lot of things left unsaid . there could have been a lot of content added to the story. a lot more engagment with the character or characters may be more world building. for example i do not know their complex and houses ver
