Found this story by accident, and I am so glad I did. I love the gritty realism, and the world feels lived in. It avoids the classic litrpg overpowered problem, where the MC doubles in strength every other day. The characters so far are well written, and the MC is particularly interesting, given his background growing up in a militant cult; he is strong but not overpowered, and we get to discover the rest of the world alongside him. The story so far is the fairly classic adventurer trope, but well executed, and the style and grammar are clean and read smoothly. Read it, you won't regret it.

I've greatly enjoyed the nuanced characterization.  People, nations, ideals not without flaw but with their own merits and truths.  There is some flipping to other points of view, but it's not excessive.  It also thankfully doesn't create giant plot reveals or spoil the mystery or mythology of the world.  The majority of the fight scenes are well thought out, the action flows right.  It feels a little like reading David Gemmell, and watching the rebirth of Druss the Slayer.
My biggest compliment is that the numbers, system, and classes don't take away from the story by locking people down paths.  It's certainly a rarity that numbers go up is definitely not a reason to read this book.  Who people are, their talent, and dedication make them unique.  Having a rare ability, skill, or class adds rather than sets them on a pedestal that no one else can reach.
If you want a story with an interesting well fleshed out world, relatable characters that you can cheer for, sympathize with, and become invested in. I'd recommend.
