Description

Sever the strings of gods and kings.

In Tethia, where classes are braided like threads into the soul, Raith has spent his life dreaming of forging his own path as an adventurer.

After months of seeking the rare pattern that will unlock the class he’s been chasing, he discovers the secret has already been claimed by the Order of the Loom who have no interest in sharing their knowledge.

Determined, Raith enlists the help of his best friend to infiltrate the Order’s library while juggling skirmisher matches, planning, and an impatient streak that drives him straight to the Thieves Guild.

But no favors come free, and the more he fights for freedom, the tighter the tangle of fate becomes.

Finally, after forming a team to take on Janek’s Tower, the adventurers set off with high hopes.

But before even reaching their destination, the team finds they are no longer chasing adventure.

They are living it.

Great story, fun characters and a unique magic system. I am really liking this story so far - it feels like classic high fantasy which I am a huge fan of with a progression fantasy twist.
The writing is excellent and the characters are all interesting. They feel real and their actions - even the stupid ones - make sense. It is a great breath of fresh air and I cant wait to keep reading so I can find out how the story develops. So far, this is a 5/5 for me.

Though I’m reviewing early and I’ve only met two characters so far, I’m already impressed with the characterization. Both have clear personalities and speech styles; there’s nothing worse than all the characters sounding the same.
I’ve already laughed a few times and am interested in what this kid is doing and why.
    This is a great start!

This was the story I didn’t even know I needed in my life, and it very quickly became my “shut up, I’m reading my thing,” type of book. It’s pretty much everything that a person could want in an adventure LitRPG - a rich and vibrant world with an exciting storyline, beautiful and clear prose, thrilling action, a logical leveling up system, as well as characters that are lovable, genuine, and wholly memorable. I have thoroughly enjoyed riding the roller coaster of the story’s twists and turns, and the end of every chapter always keeps me craving more. A part of me hopes this journey that I am taking with The Myth Seekers never ends.
Luminous Zephyr has a way with words, as the author skillfully weaves together humor with action, high stakes with heartfelt moments. And the world of Tethia is vast, intriguing, and fully fleshed out with fascinating histories, creatures, cultures, and a unique classification structure. It also has as a spiritual system that feels both sensible and grounded, while also being enigmatic with its mysteries. I find myself continuously wanting to reenter this world, and a part of me wishes it was a real place.
One of the things that really sets this story apart is the unique “power” of the MC, Raith. Instead of some super strength, or physical regeneration, or the ability to manifest chi/mana/magic to bend to his will, Raith’s power is much more subtle, but also with the potential to be immeasurably formidable – he has the ability to stop time, survey the situation, and think. He cannot affect his surroundings, but it simply gives him the mental space to be able to think outside the box, to find the path that everyone else has overlooked, to reign in his emotions, and to even learn new intel about enemies and situations through a mental “library.” I’ve never seen anything like it in any other book, and honestly, of all powers an MC could be given, I feel like this one is the most relatable to a mere mortal human reader stuck in a very unmagic

This is a great story; the Author writes characters and feelings very well. The world is interesting and descriptions of settings are great. The magic system is a multiclass system which feels refreshing.
While I usually really appreciate timeskips that skip over parts of the story that would otherwise be a slog to read this story can sometimes feel like it has small gaps.
I do really like this story and see potential with lost of unexplored plot and rising political tensions. Would recommend.

I’m really enjoying this story, I got hooked in with its unique power system and setting and as I kept reading I stayed for the characters. Raith is an idiot genius and it’s fun to see the chaos they cause and have to live through. It’s a complicated wonderful mess.
his brother is a bit silent for the most part but that’s cause he’s keeping a sharp watch on the party, I want to see him happy and healed from his trauma
My favorite girl character so far is a tie between the shield Druid and the shoe smith girl, I forget their names at the moment but their interactions were pretty funny cause I like when they called out the mc.
It all did start out with a simple plot too, the MC is a god laced and he wants to read books, he wants to get a class that suits him and he’s going for three so he can travel around and see the word. He does some questionably legal stuff to get his hands on the info and then he’s chased halfway around the continent.
I’m still waiting for all the god lore and fae lore to be fleshed out! I really can’t wait to see what the party becomes! Keep writing!

Witty, funny, and well written chapters that have filled the last week with enjoyment as I portaled into Tethia. New heros, mischief, villains, and quests make it entertaining story that flows easily.
The author has great descriptions that make this new world come to life. The main has left me wishing I had the [Life in Staccato] skill that would allow me the time to read this delightful piece in one sitting.
There is a wonderful mix of humor, tension, mystery and suspense that makes for a great read alongside the immersive character and world building.
One of the main reason I am enjoying this so much is that within the 16 chapters I have read so far, there have been ZERO "Now why in the world would they do that?" moments that often ruin the believable progression of character. I can't stand it when characters make stupid decisions that leave me shaking my head.
The Myth Seekers is so far a well thought out storyline that has characters with great personalities that are easy to relate to. It is fun to re-enter Tethia to see what the crew is up and cheer them on from one chapter to the next.
Only on the 16th chapter, I am at the beginning of what I hope will turn into an ever expanding world of heros to root for, new skills to unlock, quests to complete, and adventures to be had.
Great read and I am very thankful to be part of the Myth Seekers Guild.

15 chapters in and it's quite fun. The worldbuilding is solid - it has a nice twist on Skills and Quests and the pacing is brisk. My only quibble would be that the author tries to make exposition more organic - through lectures or tales to other characters but it's still not perfectly smooth.
Looking forward to seeing where this story goes

This story is such a breath of fresh air. The power system is pretty easy to understand and isn't really a numbers game like most other lit rpgs. The power system allows thousands of different combinations and builds that really spice things up. And Stats and progression aren't everything. Wit, ingenuity, and a little bit of luck are just as important to a certain extent.
Furthermore, almost all the characters feel authentic and real. The side characters aren't just one-time uses that are discarded after a few sentences of dialogue. They serve a purpose to progressing the story. The dialogue is great, and the MC isn't served everything on a silver platter.
