Description

Lindle is determined to be as unlike his father as possible.

Unfortunately, being a half-giant is hard to ignore, and the system seems determined to force him to take a giant-exclusive class.

Seizing what very well be his last chance before his path is determined in three months, Lindle takes a job guiding an adventuring party out of his snowy village and into the sunless tundra.

Down in the dungeon, he finds his chance, but no one's ever heard of an Artificer class before.

Fortunately, Lindle loves to craft, setting the spark to reignite a destiny long since buried under the snows of his frozen world.Currently updates Tuesday and Friday

Very good! Ember of invention is quite the ambitious project, with not quite so often seen characters, and a deep original lore for a quite common dungeon trope. The author is in for a lot of work. MC’s class is very powerful, and often with OP crafters the risk is that the author gets lost in creating fun gear, and neglecting the plot and characters. But for now all is well and promising

Huge fan of litrpg.  (If you skim my profile you'll see that's almost exclusivity...)
This one has a great premise for the world and the mc. Unique class and skills and system.
Cool world and so far likeable characters and plenty of threads to follow.  Can't wait to see where they lead.

Firstly I should mention that I had the privilege of reading this (and a few more chapters) before they were posted. So here’s a review. So far it has a lot of potential, and is well written with an intriguing premise. I'm intrigued to learn more, and will update my review when Dexel has more posted, and there is more to speak about.

This is good, like really really good. 6 star SSS+ Mythic pull on your first free 10 pull in a gacha good.
Love me some crafting and the unique way the Artificer works in the setting is awesome.
The story sucked me in and didn't let me stop until I caught up. Can't wait to see more.

A cozy and nice Story of a Giant that wants to be a crafter. The MC is like a young Hagrid. He is good guy that is a bit clumsy sometimes but wants the best for him dan ppl around him. The pacing is slow but fitting for the type of story. I cant say anything about Grammar except that i didn't see mayor mistakes that would have thrown me out of the story. Can't wait for more chapters.
PS: it would be good to post the update schedule in the Blurb so anyone can easily find it and changes to it are more apparent.

I usually don't read stories until they hit 100k, but something about this one really spoke to me, and I'm so glad I have it a try! The mechanics are so fascinating and I'm really enjoy the world the author is building, can't wait for the upcoming chapters! Maybe I really should have waited lol, but it was so worth it.

original story, interesting "fight against faith". class feels a bit OP, tho mc doesnt do too much crazy stuff (yet). characters are fine, as is pacing. it is slower, but it's a crafting-focused story after all. combat is interesting, original idea for a crafter-combatant. layout could use a bit of help (no blue boxes sometimes)

It's very interesting and thoughtful! The writing is very good as well! Kindle is a very unique character and everyone he interacts with seems just as fleshed out! Nothing is also very cute and has a very interesting perspective to offer. The magic system also seems logical! And the history of the world is very apparent through I direct references!

I enjoy crafting stories in a progression fantasy setting and this one has started well. The main character's name being Lindle and built somewhat like Lindon from Cradle had me chuckling and took me a while to get past the comparisons.
The story taking place in the polar region with snow everywhere and moonlit days was a pleasant change from the usual fare. Lindle as a character shines with his drive to get a crafting-based class despite his circumstances. The adventure party being good natured was another pleasant surprise. There's a bit of mystery as well that enhanced my interest in the story.

As of the whole book atm(300 or so pages), MC crafted like 5 items, most of them being made in a single chapter, described by a few lines of text. This is kinda bad for a story called "ember of invention" that poses itself as a crafting focused story.
I have no problems with slow-burning stories, but here, after initial wave of crafting, MC goes adventuring, and it's your typical cookie cutter adventuring guild, all with a guildhall, ranks and quest board. MC's main motivation was to kinda defy fate and his ancestry and not be a combat class. After getting a crafting class, first thing he does is he goes into combat, and is pretty happy about it. Why not just be a warrior?
This gotta be my personal preferences speaking, but i am honestly tired of, and do not want to read a story about a goblin-slaying, grime covered schmuck.
Maybe am wrong and this'll change in near future, but I'll probably never know.
