Tales of AurTerra: Neo York

The world of AurTerra is a strange one in the fact that 500 years ago an event that changed the world occured. A catastrophic event where the Planet known as Aurora fused with a Planet called Earth. This occured because the planet known as Earth appeared out of nowhere and the two world's wound of merging together. This caused 80 percent of the total population on the worlds to die off as the world's fusing caused catastrophic earthquakes, floods, and even eruptions from volcanoes.

Once everything died down though the world started to slowly rebuild. However the monsters that were originally on Aurora also survived and then thrived as their numbers grew faster and faster to the point they outpaced the regrowth of the population of the people. Now in this current day and age where both Magic and Technology have been melded into one thing called ManaTech people go about their day to day lives in walled cities. Though due to the dangers of going between towns independent Guilds sprouted up to help ease the burden of travel by offering Transportation services to people and even go as far as transporting cargo. These Guilds are what keep the world of AurTerra going.
