City building with non human lead and non human love interests with a judicious use of action and politics. Also berries will soon become the worlds currency in about 50 years. So have fun with that. What else to talk about to satisfy that pesky fifty word requirement  so I can post this review.

I saw one of the ad's and added this to my real laters a while back and I saw it again recently and my intrest sparked again so I though 'why not?'. Well the start reminded me of another story on RR; "The Reincarnation of Alyassa" I believe, the name might be slightly off. Anyway, I jumped right in and basically got hooked without realizing it. The story sucked me right and before I realized it, I was at chapter 100, and thought that I deserved a review.
The characters was so easy to fall into wanting to see what happened next in their lives, from the way to book starts off, I thought Cindee was honestly going to be the character we followed at the start but was pleasantly suprised with who we did get to follow while learning about this world. Then when we finally got back to Her, I was delighted with the way that first Classroom scene went where we got to meet Theodor, then the way his story has developed going forward.
I dont want to speak too much cause then I'll just be giving spoilers but I highly recommend that you give it a shot and see if you like it! There are honestly not that many Grammer mistakes so far that I would consider an issue in any regard. Most of the time it's easy to tell if there might have been a minor typo simply from the Author typing to fast! And if that says anything, it should be their love for this story! And it's fairly imaginative if I should say so!

I honestly can't find any problems with this novel and i cannot understand why it is still pretty hidden.
The only issue i can think of is probably the synopsis that may make people believe that some random girls fall in love with a tree and the tree leeches off them, which doesn't give the author justice at all.
The grammar is simple and direct, so it is very easy to follow the character thoughts and speech.(in cultivation novel it is a struggle usually)
The story is very solid and it does not present plot holes (or i never noticed any), the common clicè used to move the characters are a lot less obvius and the flow of the event seems truly natural.
It is also captivation to see the that for once the main characters is not a human, favors a race that is not human and does not have any problems with humans whatsoever.
On top of that, we are not looking at an ex human isekaied, a person trasported to another world or someone that is returning to the past: everything the MC earn is well deserved!
I like the author style because even the usually despised 4° wall breaks are well executed and are rarely used.
The character are the most solid part of this story, with every one of them acting according to their personality and belief.
All in all probably the best tree story on this site.
    (Probably other sites too)

The premise behind this story is wild, giant tree lady has hundreds of children with hermaphrodite dryads while taking the universe by storm had no business being on my bingo card, but here we are I guess. I love this shit, the world building is great, and despite a little bit of awkward prose I eagerly await every chapter.

So, I binged this in a few days.  I like the story and the characters for the most part.
Plot is your standard city/kingdom builder stuff.  If you like that stuff, awesome.  If you don't, this might not be the story for you.
Our main character is so lovably simple: A World Tree whose world philosophy is: I wanna grow, I wanna get bigger and taller and stronger and watch all the numbers go up.  And there isn't anything wrong with that.  It's nice to see the characters develop from innocent and playful, if somewhat petulant, to being more world wise, able to uncover and respond to subterfuge as outside powers start poking around more.
Supporting cast is good, although I'm worried that we're going to stretch ourselves thinner and thinner as more characters come into the fold.  I do feel personally that as time has gone on, we're starting to lose some time I would have liked to see spent with the core cast of characters, especially the romantic interests.  Obviously, that's going to be a bit nonstandard for a tree protagonist, but it actually works, and I'd like to see more of the blooming love.  Pun very much intended.
Where I think the story could do better is on style and grammar.  It very much has that light novel flavor, which means lots of 'telling'.  Too much for my taste.  It leaves less room for suspense when the narration butts into the story to be 'of course, this isn't going to actually work because XYZ, as I will now tell you'.
Because of the narrator constantly interjecting and telling us everything going on, it leaves less room for the story to organically develop (pun intended here as well).  We don't get to be surprised alongside the main cast.  We don't get to watch the main cast try and fail to figure things out and try to unravel who and what is behind the different threads of story.  And I think the story could definitely benefit as a result.
(Yes, I admit, I really dislike fourth-wall breaking.  It's not enough of a detractor to stop me from readin

This is an interesting and entertaining story. Yes the author speaks English as a second language. I can forgive that to enjoy the the story. But a review should take into account the much lower quality of the sentence structure. Even if it is totally understandable and tolerable.
I think that sylvan superiority is also not handled in a subtle enough manner. But that is likely due to the sentence quality the author is injecting into their speech. In the case of trees and fairies and ants it makes sense for intelligence monsters to have reduced vocabulary and simplified grammar.
I am absolutely enjoying the ride though and the other glowing reviews I have read makes me hopeful for the writing to mature a bit over time.
Specifically I just cannot enjoy Cinder as much as I want to. Again because of how her thoughts are explained. Crudely written internal monologuing breaks me from the flow of storytelling.
I can definitely see how labeling this story as a dungeon story is valid despite loose adherence to the genre. I enjoy the dungeoneering being atypical. With beavers attacking rose fairies rather than DnD style adventurers delving into the deep earth.
Sorry if I wrote this review poorly this is my first ever review!

1 (0.5 stars) — Horrible. (Most likely I just don’t like reading this genre or something.)
    2 (1 star) — Very Bad.
    4 (2 stars) — Poor.
    6 (3 stars) — Average.
8 (4 stars) — Good. (Nothing wrong with it.)
    10 (5 stars) — Excellent.
12 (5 stars) — Perfectly Masterful. (Nigh impossible.)
Overall (8.25/12 – Good): While it’s no masterpiece, overall I found the story pretty good and engaging—enough so that I spent the last week or so listening to and reading it. As a side note, if you’re not sure whether you’ll like the story, I recommend reading the first few chapters. I feel like most people will know by then whether they want to give it a try.
Style (10/12 – Excellent): I found the style of Ascension of the Sylvan Cosmos a little better than just good. While not perfectly executed, I did enjoy how the author told the story. They did a good job skirting the line without falling into the pitfall of having so many POV changes that it starts to feel like a story about the people around the MC more than the MC. Personally, I found the number of POV changes perfect, although it might be too much for some. Additionally, the author does a great job keeping me on my toes about when certain things will happen. Some readers might also find there to be too many LitRPG/stat tables; I don’t, but it’s worth noting.
Story (8/12 – Good): I’ll be honest: while the world-building is often interesting and unique, the author hasn’t fully sold me on many of its elements. Additionally, the general plot line isn’t anything particularly special or unique—though that isn’t necessarily a bad thing. A word of warning: read and take the content tags seriously.
Grammar (7/12 – Okay): Upfront, the author mentions in their bio that English isn’t their first language, and if I’m being honest, it does show. However, it’s not that bad, and after the first day or so of reading, I found it more of a charm of the story than anything else. Additionally, edit suggestions are turned on, which is a plus in my bo

When you get past the feeling that it's been translated from a different language, it's a great story. Not shy on killing, not shy on young people making bad choices, the world is awesome, and the intro chapter is a masterpiece. The ONLY reason this gets 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the grooming. I know shes a tree, and therefore it's different, but having 18 year old girls lusting over a tree that is mentally and physically equivalent to a 12 year old is absolutely insane. To make it worse, they justify being around her "i just wanna get her used to my presence" while simultaneously "she WILL be the mother of my children" "maybe I can kidnap her" like, it's obvious who the tree used to be, but that doesnt make it better. Im on chapter 262 right now, and im loving the story, but even now I'm having to question if I should continue through certain parts because the borderline PDF attitude is extremely uncomfortable. It's not like it's written as the norm and that 14 year olds are marrying and having kids, the girls are well aware thag the tree is too young, and instead of backing off and at least trying to find someone else, they decide to wait, get her used to them, and push their feelings onto her. It's not a good look for the author, honestly, because if the tree wasn't so blatantly ignoring their advances for the most part, I'd be very very worried about them being around children in real life. Having said that, it is quite honestly my only complaint with the story. The world, the characters, the interactions, they're all great and im 90% enjoying myself
