Description

Eli Carter once dreamed of the stars. As a boy, he’d fall asleep beneath glow-in-the-dark constellations, clutching model rockets and sketching spaceships in his notebooks. But dreams have a cruel way of fading under the weight of reality. Now in his early twenties, Eli finds himself stuck in a dead-end job at an orbital cargo station, the closest he’s ever been to space—and the farthest from his purpose.

After losing his job for exposing a corporate cover-up, Eli hits rock bottom. With nothing left and no one who seems to care, he considers ending it all. But just as he teeters on the edge, a mysterious figure appears, offering him a second chance—and not just any chance.

The Interplanetary Exploration Guild, a secretive organization, is recruiting volunteers for a high-risk mission. Something—an anomaly, an object, perhaps a sentient force—has appeared in a distant sector of space, wreaking havoc on trade routes and destroying everything that comes near it. No probes return. No ships survive. The mission: to reach the source and uncover the truth.

With nothing to lose, Eli accepts.

Thrust into a crew of misfits, scientists, and hardened explorers, Eli must navigate not only the deadly unknown but also his own fractured sense of worth. As they venture deeper into the black, past dying stars and ancient wreckage, the crew realizes the object isn’t just a threat—it might be a message, a test, or even a doorway to something greater.

In the darkness between stars, Eli might finally discover who he is—and what he's willing to become.
